Landrace Genetics 101

Here's my plants tonight 3 weeks in flower. They are finally flowering (a little bit)..

Lamp is @ 6' - I have more space to move up! I'm gonna need some more room.

They are putting on some stretch.

Sweet looking girls bro!!!
Subbed up!!

Speaking of ACE I smoked the male Honduras I had. It has that old time Mexican sativa high. Laughs, bright sparkly effect. I have a female flowering now. I understand there is a Mexican and Colombian type with the Mexican being more light in effect. Has that visual effect I look for in sativas but no distortions, though this was just a male top so.

I tried to reveg my Purple Satellite but no go. Have more beans so sometime later. Smoked my Nanan Bouclou male top and got a really clear upper effect. Lots of very clear moments and then some 'phase shift' effects here and there.

Smoked a male top of my Punto Rojo and got the spiritual vibe I have heard about the Punto Rojo. It is there. Warm effect while being sativa trippy. Right now with what I know of it without smoking a mature female, it is still better than the Colombian Gold '72 I have. I have smoked several CG '72 phenos so I know that strain well enough. CG lacks the warmth or spiritual effect for me at least.

The lowland Colombian Red is entirely different than the Punto Rojo. The Colombian Red was like a modern hybrid. Stony rather heavy effect.

This is my size controlled Columbian Red Point x Unknown Swami. She will be 11 weeks old on Thursday. She started flowering on week 3, so this pic should be her at about 7 weeks of flowering. Took a lot of supercrops to keep her this small.

Veg at all? That's a thick stem, looks great...

12/12 from seed, until about a week and a half ago when I cut back to 11/13. These crosses seem to like that schedule. Doesnt slow the stretch but seems to speed the flower development a bit..

Great job on the Red Point cross! :bravo:

As far as Brazilians, I went on a strain hunt and ran every commercial strain I could find with Brazilian in it. I didn't run KC Brains' stock though, because I didn't want to fool with regulars.

Y'all should try Utopia Haze by Barneys. It's the one that got me started on the hunt - a very nice Brazilian IBL - full of the spiritual vibe. Nexus is half Brazil, but I didn't care for my pheno - missing the Brazilian part somehow. And Buddha Haze is Amnesia Haze x Manga Rosa. Amnesia Haze is pretty nice in its own right, and the blend with Brazilian works. It's also a more civilized strain to grow, like Nexus. Utopia Haze tends to be a long fluffy one.

OAXACAN GOLD
PURPLE LINE
Love the affects of heavy red and blue LED grow lights.
The Color, terps, overall quality couldn't be much better with this strain.
My house wreaks like Old Spice after shave, but in a good way

You can order a packet greytail and live your own dream

Great looking buds !!! bet the smoke will take you over the rain bow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Safeman!
Yes this Oax is a very potent lady and this is my best grow ever over the past 47 years, by the looks and smell, of this years crop it could be a bit scary! HAHA
The Nepali is a great fast landrace with lots of terrific qualities, especially great for breeding. If it is same line I work with she is strictly an outdoor strain, And the Black Afghani not yet assessed the quality but a bit shy on the yield for 3 month veg and pot size I only got 2 3/4 ounces off two plants,
not great. B.A. is strictly indoor way to sensitive to mold out.

Your outdoor Oaxacan looks like stuff from the 70's while the indoor looks like a modern hybrid. Loose and leafy vs tight buds. How does each smoke then? Any difference?

Might look into your lights, the blurple is kind of old news now with white LED being in favor.

Hello Yesum!
There is a lot of Difference The Blurple LED grown bud IMO is much more potent, much more robust flavor, way more trichs just a world of difference, I tried white cob LED and Spectrumking,
its BLURPLE for me now and forever!
I think it's just a marketing ploy, calling white full spectrum, which it is, but indoors your not growing in a natural setting, And there is obviously a lot of unusable light in white.
Last year same seed indoors white light Spectrumking yield was about 3 LBS with no very little to no purple, more leaf to flower, longer flower time, and way more foxtailing.
all around lower quality, I was kind of bumbed.
This year same space, same seed.
You see the results, I wish you could smell! And I pulled 4 1/2 LBS this year 1.5 pounnds more than last year.
The key from my observation is heavy red and then blue three watt diodes seem to kill it!
I am not a light specialist, I have no light measuring equipment.
All I have past and present results and my plants to tell me if they are happy.
By the way, I think it's cool your offering your OAX.

To further illustrate The difference between BLURPLE light grown plants and natural light grown plants. The following picture is of clones, two of each of the very purple buds shown above grown the same time.
But the clones were grown out in the greenhouse the same time the BLURPLE plants were being grown indoors. These cuts were grown to make Hybrid seed and bontinue IBL seed, and the difference as you can see is remarkably different.
The last two pics are the same clones in geenhouse ripe with old age, to insure ripe seed.
