Landrace Genetics 101

Been following along since I have 2 LR plants in my current grow, Santa Marta Gold and Pibeurt they are 14 weeks old. The Pibeurt looks similar to the Double Oaxaca 79 which are beautiful by the way. She is growing in a 7 gal bag with supporting rods to hold her up.

Looking good! Looks like the bright green, airy Oaxacan i had back in the 70s. It had seeds back then but was still a peppery tasting, real head buzzer.

Santa Marta Gold Main cola developing, growing along side of the Pibeurt.

I used to live in St. Thomas in the mid 70s. We got lots of gold smoke from Columbia come up on the little fruit boats, still in the hog feed bags. Super stoney expando weed. The rastas didn't like it, said it had chemicals in it, stuck to the "lambsbread". I'll be interested in the smoke report and even more interested in some real Punta Roja. My favorite Columbian.
Stay stoneder.

Been looking for some Punta Roja also. Got the Pibeurt seeds as freebies when I bought my Santa Marta so why not.
I have influenced the taste by adding Fox Farms Bembe nutes to try and remove some of the harshness I remembered back in the day :lot-o-toke: Will post a review when she is ready along with total harvest weight.

Found a site yesterday that seems pretty comprehensive on numerous LR from all continents they are not a sponsor so I am a bit unsure on posting link. Don't want to violate TOS.

I've decided to start a new little Project as the dark days started outside, something new to focus on isn't bad at all. :)

So i'll cross the Cannabiogen Oaxaca'79S1 with Federation Seeds Hawaiian Sativa, already have put some Hawaiian Sativa Seeds in a glass for soaking. The good thing is, i already have two big Cannabiogen Oaxaca'79S1 mothers, so no need to VEG very long, and the Hawaiian Sativa males not need to be extremely big to do their Job. Both lines share around the same flowering time......

Could be an old Thai grown in Hawaii back in the day. That’ll give the Mex more kick.

Yeah i think there is Thai in this Hawaiian Sativa, and also some Mexican genes. The smell on these is absolutely amazing. Most Phenos have a citrusy Vicks VapoRub smell with incense notes, when i first made a Nose test i instantly connected this smell with my Childhood, when my mother put some Vick's VapoRub on my chest. These plants are really strong growing with massive stems, you could sell the stems alone, as they have an amazing smell, some kind of fruity cherry like. One of the best and most interesting smelling strains i ever grew. Dried Buds have a banana like shape. :)
