leave stems attached or cut off budz for drying

There are so many different ways to dry herb, but is it better to dry by hanging stems that hold the bud or better to trim budz then dry on a screen?

Leaving on stem will be a longer slower dry, good if you have low humidity. If humidity is a little high, trim and put on screen. Make sure to have fan in room blowing air around but not directly on buds. And make sure room is dark too. Light degrades thc

Its worth adding that the slower you can dry them without letting mold be an issue, the better the end result.
