Lewydeville’s Six Strain DWC

Well it is Hot hot hot here in the UK! Apparently it’s only going to last a few days then back to cooler unsettled weather. I’ve prepared the flower tent by switching off the dehumidifier as this kicks out a fair amount of heat. If it gets really warm I’ll shut the hps down until Monday. Apart from that I’m at the mercy of Mother Nature. I managed to take some bud shots before work.
First up is Barneys Pink Kush, I’ve got very high expectations that this is going to be some gorgeous smoke. I’m not going to judge any of these plants size wise as the veg light was broken for an unknown amount of time which I’m sure impeded all of them, probably a good job considering the size of the Sorbet Dream!! Anyway the Pink kush is giving the Gorilla Zkittles a real run for its money in the trichome department. She so frosty and smells of very sweet candy, I can’t smell any Kush about her but that does take anything away. Buds are stacking nicely but I do wish I had some more space so I could of spread her out. If it smokes as good as I think it will I’ll definitely be ordering some more beans.

Next up is Barneys Gorilla Zkittles. Now this is one pungent plant!! So stinky, I would say it’s got a Kushy thing going on with a fuel background. It’s right up my alleyway!! I don’t think she’s going to be long about and I’m sure will be the first of these plants that I harvest. Today I’ve started using the plant yo-yos as the buds are gaining some weight.

Part 2
The Sorbet Dream...well what can I say it really is a dream plant. She’s really big and even the lower side branches have massive dense nuggets, They are everywhere I look. Nothing seems to slow her down and it’s been quite astonishing to watch her grow. The sheer size and weight of the buds means she’s getting a little beat up when move her about but I’m hoping I can get some nice shots when she’s finished. By a long way my favourite smelling plant which is some accolade being sat next to the Pink kush and GZ. It’s like nothing I’ve come across before, I really could just roll around in it and sniff it all day it’s that good. I hate trimming with a vengeance but a plant like this I’ll be smiling the whole time!

Part 3
Next is the Critical Hog. This is a nice easy strain to grow. Lived up the her name as most of the grow she was fed very heavily and finished off most of the other plants leftovers!! Lol still not a mark on her. Smells great even if there isn’t anything special about it. I think she’ll go a while longer and should have some spectacular buds come harvest time. Definitely one for a hassle free grow with a substantial yield to boot.

I did a little squeezing on Friday night. I pressed 14 grams of Blue Mistic and 14 grams of Tangie. I hit 3 gram returns on both strains. Both are amazingly tasty and pack a punch!

Did you survive the heat? It's pretty much back to normal down here. I got away with the HPS without any problems at all. Your plants are looking great Lew. The GZ sounds similar to mine. Does yours have any purple on her?

I’ve not checked on them today but they were fine yesterday morning. It’s back to being nice and cool here and getting warmer towards the end of the week. I’ve had some bad luck with this grow but in fairness I feel I’ve been really lucky with the weather. I checked my GZ all over after seeing your purple buds but no joy, nice and frosty though. This is by far the most excited I’ve been about getting to harvest as I can’t wait to try all of these strains. How’s your weekend been mate?

I’ve had some bad luck with this grow but in fairness I feel I’ve been really lucky with the weather. I checked my GZ all over after seeing your purple buds but no joy, nice and frosty though. This is by far the most excited I’ve been about getting to harvest as I can’t wait to try all of these strains. How’s your weekend been mate?

It's been ok. The Misses abandoned me with no smoking papers on Friday night to go to a wedding so I've only just had a smoke which was very needed lol. The Purple seems to only be on lower slightly shaded buds so I'm hope in good that it creeps up the plant and onto the tops before the end. I'm thinking about chopping her around the 13th of July so 2 weeks left to go. Multi strain harvests are the best lol.

It's the closest we'll come to knowing what it's like to live near a dispensary lol. I was doing 10 strains every 3 months for a couple years and I've lost track of what I've grown a long time ago. I keep seeing strains and getting deja vu lol

You never know with the rest of the world waking up to the benefits of cannabis and most of our population wanting legalization it’s only a matter of time before our stupid government will be forced to back down. It makes me so angry that MPs are still spouting personal views that are so out of touch and not based on actual facts. I still dream that one day you and I could be exchanging goodies like our friends on here that are lucky enough to live sensible countries.
I’m definitely in the more strains the merrier gang now.

Tonight I spent some time in the flower tent checking over each plant and freshening up their buckets. Some of these plants look like they could be ready in the next week or two and some look like at least another 2/3 weeks away. I’ve been topping up with just fresh water and 20ml of sumo boost for the last stretch. one or two of them that need longer have been given a small amount of calmag and 10 ml of nutes.
Fat Banana is still an ugly pig but there are a few big buds starting to fatten up. Everything else is coming along nicely. I’m getting excited!

This is pretty amazing and thought I’d share. So the veg tent in my set up has the broken led and I’m not going to replace it until I start my autumn grow so I had the problem of 3 clones I couldn’t bare to cull. I decided because the bloom side of the led was still working at full power that I would flower them out in the veg tent until there was space in the flower tent. I also thought I’d keep things lazy and just give them the old left overs from the other tent and see what I end up with for a fun experiment. Well when I flipped to 12/12 I made a mistake with the timer and basically every time I go to my spot they were in dark mode. Honestly I’m still not sure when lights come on and off! Anyway 3 or more weeks have passed since the flip and I’d still not even looked in the tent. No ph’ing, no top ups during the heat wave absolutely no care whatsoever. I’d written them off and thought it was probably a waste of time anyway with the broken light. Last night i managed to take a look at what mess I was going to have to clean up and this is what I found.

Every bucket had about an inch of water left and what was really shocking was the lovely pure white roots! I gave them all a top up and a good defol so now they look like this

They look better than when I’m looking after them!! Lol.

I wouldn’t suggest it as a grow style but I might not panic as much if I haven’t checked my garden in the last 12 hours! Lol

Just gave everything a top up with fresh water today. I checked the trichomes on the Sorbet Dream and I think she’ll be ready in the next 7/10 days max. I didn’t get around to checking the Gorilla Zkittles but my thoughts are that one is probably ready to come down anytime. The rumours are true about the GZ she is flopping all over the shop! Should be some good smoke as it smells great and buds are dense. Critical Hog is just cruising and still looks perfect although with the size of the buds and the way they are swelling each day she’s going to need some support. Every time I open the tent the dank smell makes me grin from ear to ear. Loads of pictures again today. Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend. Any questions just ask.

Fantastic looking garden, man. And by your descriptions they sound as terrific as they look! You had good luck with the chemovars, but they had good luck with you!
