Lewydeville’s Six Strain DWC

Hello and welcome to my second journal. I will be running single DWC buckets and six different strains all feminized .

I use the full Shogun range of hydro nutes and I’ll be using a Marshydro 2 700 led in a 1m x 1m veg tent until the flower tent becomes available.

So on to the interesting bit the strains! Two days ago I popped one each of

Royal Queen Seeds Fat Banana
TH Seeds French Macron
Barneys Farm Gorilla Zkittlez
Barneys Farm Pink Kush

Unbelievably just fifteen hours after being dropped in the water all 4 had split and the Gorilla Zkittlez had a 3mm tap root!

as all the seeds split they went straight into rooters

Now I know that’s only four strains but I planned to take clones of my RQS Fruit Spirit and my Reserva Privada Tangie. That has now changed and I’m going to pop two more beans to join the line up

It’s going to be nine or ten weeks until the flower tent is available so plenty of veg time and I’ll be mainlining them.

As of today I have moved the seedlings into the tent and in the next couple of days I’ll move them into a tote.
That’s all I’ve got so far. Please feel free to join in, ask questions, give me abuse or advice it’s all good.

That'll be a lot of plants in that space! Are you going to be able to get them back out of the veg then and moved into a flower one after all that time?

Welcome sativuhh. Yes it does get a squeeze at times but I strip my plants bare once a week during veg and while mainlining i keep them low and wide. I’ll keep them in check.....hopefully

Today I’ve popped the two final beans giving us our six plants. Hopefully they are as quick off the mark as the other 4 which are doing great. I’ll be setting up my 6 pot homemade tote tomorrow and the first seedlings should be big enough to put in their 3.5 inch net pots.

Fat Banana. Only had 3 rooters left so had to tear a little piece off one of the others! Worked a treat. Might start being a Scrooge and cut them in half from now on!

Welcome BLDankula. I’ve not tried any of these strains before. A lot of hype around the Gorilla Zkittlez at the moment so it will be interesting to see how that turns out. I’m hoping for a Banana terp from the RQS Seed. I’ll be making a separate hash run on all these strains at the end so the thought of banana and hash just makes me dribble!

Do you have any experience with these strain or any catch your eye?

No experience myself, but I'm drooling at the thought of those G Skittlez myself.

My setup is similar to your veg tent and I'm going to switch to hydro after this crop. Been growing in a Coco mix... Excited to watch along!!

Awsome variety man. I'm obviously interested in your GZ, I wanna see how it takes to your mainline, but I'm with you that Fat Banana just sounds delicious. I've never heard of it before, I'm about to check it out. But good luck with the grow!

Welcome CookieMonster and thank you. The selection is made up of strains I’ve been wanting to try for a while so I’m looking forward to this grow. It will be nice having your GZ grow a few weeks a head so I know what to expect. I’ve never seen the Fat Banana before I ordered so it might well be a new strain from RQS. I does sound tasty tho. Good luck with your grow as well mate should be fun.

I just looked up Barney's Farm's stat sheet on those GZ.... up to 2.5kg or 5.5lb per plant outdoors if well cared for?!

Wow. I’d love to give outdoor growing a go but the thought of trimming all that lot is enough to give you nightmares Lol. Have you seen the massive outdoor plant in pic of the month? It’s a giant.

Seedlings have been moved into their net pots ready for the tote. The DNA Sorbet popped yesterday has already split so she’s not far behind. Just the Critical Hog to go and that will be a full house.

The DNA Sorbet Dream has joined the others in the veg tent. Received my order of rooters so that was just in time. Still no movement with the Critical Hog just yet.
