Lewydeville’s Six Strain DWC

Thanks for the welcome Lewydeville. Always looking to learn. I have a SOG that was just flipped a week and a half ago. I am seeing a few open areas on the screen that would have been filled with a little more LST and a bit more aggression. There will always be the next one, striving for the perfect grow. lol

Good luck with the SOG grow. Hopefully being only 1 and a half weeks into flower it should give you at least another week of stretch so fingers crossed you’ll fill the gaps. Have you got a journal going?

Hey man, they’re doing fine. Only the growth stopped I’m figuring out why. Added another airstone so 2 each bucket.

I’m afraid of switching too early..

What do you think, switch or wait a bit longer?

Looking fantastic mate. I think you will fill that room up once they start stretching. I’d probably thin them out, give them a day then flip. Try and get your net nice and low. Really healthy plants good work. Can’t wait to see how they turn out.

Update
Been a bit hectic at work over the last week playing catch-up due to the previous bad weather. The flower tent has also been needing a lot of attention so I’ve not really got much done in the veg tent. This morning I finally had some time to get amongst my plants and get a few things done.

First off the training. After sorting the calmag deficiency I gave the plants a very harsh defol!! Lol. It’s been very interesting seeing which plants responded the quickest. Critical Hog is a beast and definitely a firm favourite of mine so far. Today I’ve given most plants a pinch and a bend to start to get some shape. I’m giving the plants an extra day or two until I top and defol again as I’ve started my seed project and want a cutting from each to be crossed with my Fruit Spirit that I’ve been running for a while but more about that later. I took extra care this time to make sure I really broke down the stem fibres before bending as I yet again snapped an arm off another plant during the week! This time it was the French Macron but seeing how the Fat Banana is coming along I’m not going to lose any sleep.

I’ve given the Pink Kush and Gorilla Zkittles a slight bend but feel these two and the French Macron need a couple of days before they are ready.

Seed project.
I’ve set up a second tote in the veg tent. So far I’ve got a Gorilla Zkittles clone and two revegging Fruit Spirit clones. As soon as the veg girls move on to the flower tent I will be creating seeds. Years ago I followed an Icemud thread in which he used colloidal silver to reverse his plants and I shall probably use this technique unless I get info of a better way. Please feel free to add information if anyone has experience.

We couldn't afford to have the time off this time so we tried to build some shelters and get on with things. So this week we're going to spend a couple days fixing up the terrible looking work we did in all the rain lol. All looking good buddy. I've got a problem with my veggers at the moment. Looks like the soils not up to scratch so I'm going to either move to chemical nutes or completely change the soil which means washing all the dirt from the root balls. Oh the joys! Hope your well Lew

Sadly no. Although I built the room and got everything running as it should, It belongs to another. Since Oct. last year I have managed to make a partial living helping people set up to grow without too too much of a headache. So far three rooms (30 plant medical grows) and two closet hydro systems, plus my own of course. I will ask about posting some pictures as I tend each of these sights at least twice a week.

We got some nice settled weather for a while so time to catch up. I can’t afford the time off either but some jobs I just can’t do in the rain. I’ll catch up on your journal now. I’ve got to say I’ve been really impressed with your soil grows. I think it’s harder than hydro and your first soil grow since switching over was insane.

That’s a great job and something I’d like to do. Be nice to see your work so feel free to post any pics you can get.

Plants were looking nice and perky this morning. Gave them a fresh res yesterday so I’ve checked ph and adjusted back to 5.7. Hope everyone has a great week.

Yes, I’ll do a res change today and thin them out. I raised the net on the pics to add an extra airstone. Will spread them out again.

Here's a few pics of one of the systems I am working on.

Two foot by eight foot flood trays each holding 16 three week old clones, (strain unknown, local name is long top)in three gallon cloth pots. Lights are 315 watt CMH, dimmable, hooked up 220 on a wall mounted pin timer.

After a little tlc and some proper veg nutes, four and a half weeks.
20190315_110949.jpg

Six weeks in and quite a few hours of tucking. Lights just went out.

Air exchange system finally done. Should change the room air about eight times an hour. Run by a humidistat and has a heat exchanger plus an ionizer. Gives the little air conditioner /dehumidifier a break until the summer heat comes on. Hinged reflectors also in place. The stretch is on. Next on the list of to do's is a eight or ten inch can filter and fan hooked up to a thermostat. All suggestions welcome.

Wow that’s a nice set up there. Plants look great as well. You will have to put up some pictures when they are in full flower. Nice work joe.

Two grows at once. That will keep ya hopping. :yahoo:

Hey snowbound how are you mate. I’ve ran perpetually for a long time now but wanted to start a separate journal for these six strains. It does keep me on my toes! :D

All good here. I feel so inadequate with just 4 plants. :D

Looks like a great system you built for this grow. I try to bop around this awesome forum and steal great ideas.

Looking forward to the harvest numbers on your other build as well. I will follow along on both, looks like a great place to get some good tips. :thumb:

Your more than welcome here mate. It’s a cracking site I absolutely love it. Best place to learn and share. Your last 4 plants were anything but inadequate!! Lol

Actually three, pics. a little later. And I am on the go every day, Three hours on the highway as well. The summer will bring on one more but it is more of an out door grow on an island somewhere in the North Atlantic. lol

I was referring to the OP, but then i read what you are up to. :D
Impressive to be sure,
Hey... I am on an island in the North Atlantic :D
