Lewydeville’s Six Strain DWC

A quick picture update of the remaining 5 flowering plants. French Macron and Fat Banana are getting a few burnt leaves so I’ve topped up with over half the res with fresh plain water. Sorbet Dream is ready for the chop, Pink Kush isn’t filling out quite like I thought it would but I’m going to give it another week just in case. Critical Hog is turning out to be a real nice plant but looks a good week or more away from finishing.

Fat Banana is one ugly plant.....but it stinks of banana and under those shabby leaves is some nice firm buds.

Yes mate love it. I’m really intrigued by the mega crop and how it performs in DWC. I’ll be running one of my buckets on it next grow. How long you planning to veg?

Hey 420. I’ve had some terrible news on Friday that my mum has been diagnosed with bowel cancer. I’m desperate for any help with what I can do to help her ASAP. I’ll have more info as in what stage and what treatment she is to receive in the next 3 weeks. I really need some advice on what I should be giving her weather it be RSO, decarbed rosin, THCa or any information you may have on dosage. I’ve got plenty of top shelf meds and all the equipment to make whatever. Thanks in advance.

Cheers mate. I’m definitely going to check out the medical journals and ive followed sweetsue for a while because of my sister and dad. I’m hoping someone can give me a regime my mum can apply. I think I’m going to give her decarbed rosin to start with just to get something into her system.

Hey 420 sorry I haven’t been updating the journal lately as I’ve not been in the right frame of mind but after getting some positive news on my mums cancer I couldn’t wait to get back to it. Things have moved on in the flowering tent as last night I harvest the last 3 plants. I took the French Macron and Pink Kush last week and they are now starting their cure. Both smell incredible and I can’t wait to have another go at the French Macron next run. Pink kush smells very strong with that kush flavour coming out lovely. I’ve no pictures of that harvest but I’ll take some bud shots and smoke report on all strains. Back to last night and it was the Fat Banana to come down first. Again it smells great, just like banana flavoured paint. Not the prettiest of bud but considering I thought I wasn’t going to yield much I’m a happy man. Should make some crazy banana flavoured rosin. Then came the Critical Hog and the Sorbet Dream which have to be two of the nicest plants I’ve ever grown. A pleasure to trim but the sheer amount of bud they both produced still had me trimming for hours. 13 weeks of flower has made this some of the heaviest, sticky and aromatic bud and I cannot wait to try them. I’ve taken lots of photos so I’ll upload and give descriptions as I go.

It’s different than what I thought it was going to be but I like a lot. Very big flavour. I’ll take some pics and do a smoke report on it this week. How did you find yours?

I've had a couple samples now as it's been curing and I'm pretty impressed. She's more earthy than I imagined she was going to be but there's a lot of other little subtle flavours like Grapefruit and aniseed and sometimes I even get a hint of dark chocolate. I took a joint out for a walk with me and saw one of my old friends. I thought I'd share my joint while having a bit of a catchup. I think it nearly killed him lol.

I took some quick pictures of my GZ curing. I use large turkey oven bags instead of glass jars now. I’ve been using them side by side over the last two harvests and the bag always ends up curing the best.

I've seen people talking about the turkey bag method before burn javent tried it. Do the bags hold the smell in? With the jars I can be sure that there won't be any unwanted aromas. The main reason I was using jars though is because I was only getting a few ounces per plant and would have lots of bags though I suppose that's not too different to having loads of jars. Do you use jars after the cure or is it bags all the way now. Pennywise says that bags are better for storage as well

I won’t being using the jars at all just the turkey bags. I don’t notice any difference in smell outside my stash than when using jars. I fold the tops of the bag over and use garden wire to seal it tight. I think it makes an easier job during early curing being able to open the bag and move the weed about getting fresh air when needed. Its hard work burping 30 odd jars and annoying when you’re trying to stop everything sticking together in one clump. I do 4 ounces a bag so takes up less space than with jars as well. I highly recommend it mate.
