Life Cycle of Fert Mix in Water

I made up a gallon of nute water about 10 days ago using Fox Farms Grow Big and Big Bloom. I hardly used any of the nutes but apparently I put too much into the gallon container and I had to water it down. Now, here I am 10 almost 11 days later and I still have about 1/2 gallon of that mix still sitting in the container. Is it still viable to use as fertilizer or should I toss it and mix up a fresh batch?

Great Question OS. I've done the same thing and wondered about this as well. I'll watch for someone that can answer for both of us.

Organic based nutrients normally go off with in a few to several days... you may notice a foul smell, scum on top of surface of water etc if so just tip it away.

More than likely you can keep organic nutrients longer if aerated & stored in a cool place tho.

How ever chemical, synthetic, mineral salt based nutrients will last for a while & best to keep aerated & check PH before applying.
