I have a hps 1000w light and im getting a 400w mh in the mail, would that be enough for a space of 4x4, with a height of 7 ft??

Hell yeah!!! That is a lot of light for that area. You better have some really good ventilation to keep heat down. But you can grow some fat ass buds with that much light.
