Light question

ok this is sorta my first grow i have had 2 previous plants but neither lasted longer than 3 weeks because of parents. Anyways at my moms crib now and she cool wit it i got a plant about 2 weeks old and it aint nothin special but doing good.i have a 120 watt soft white flood light but just to raise the temp to 75 when it drops so its on for maybe 5 minutes at a time at most, also have a ventilation system and some mirclegro plant food and starting solution. Now my question I bought a 70 watt HPS lighting system from home depot and was wondering if growing only in hps would affect my plant at all, because i heard thatg MH is a better light for vegitative growth and HPS is for flowering. I do extensive resarch everyday on growing so please don't be afraid to get in depth.

yeah man go ahead. plants like mh in veg. but you can use hps. it still will get really good results. also you can get a mh conversion bulb for your hps ballest. thats the way i do it. i have a mh conversion on my hps for veg. and then i throw my hps on during flowering. this is not need tho like i said hps alone would do but it will also be good to leave the floro in there as a side light, it will even up the spectrum a bit.

can you get conversion blubs from home depot or lowes or something because i have no other way of buying them....?
