Lights 20 minutes longer on during veg - Best course of action now

My timer confusing me had me switch up the programs of always on and on schedule - damn that thing, the other one I have makes sense with the symbols and is reverse.
So the lights stayed on 20 minutes longer than usual - that's when I arrived and corrected from always on to on schedule again.
Now thinking of what's best to do - do I pin in the extra 20 minutes as a permanent increase in lights on, going from 20 hours on to 20 hours and 20 minutes on, or do I leave as is because maybe they got this schedule hardwired and its better for them. Leaving as is means them noticing darkness is 20 minutes sooner tomorrow though.

Any advice is appreciated.

Greetings

IMHO. 0 Risk.

In most cases 16 hours wont trigger most plants. Many plants veg on 15.

Also (and I'm using mid America as my example )

Even for the longest light period, the light never gets over 14 hours 48 minutes.

When I veg plants inside, in the winter/early spring, that will go outside, I veg them at 15-16 hours. I also use strong light. 1000 watt Hortilux.
