Lights 4x4 tent

I am taking up growing to save money in the long run, be a bit of a gangster and have some fun.
4x4 tent, I am sold on LED lights I guess, but which one and how much to spend? Mars Hydro 3000 is over $500, I saw somehwere that the viprasectra 1200 is a top choice thats a little less...trying to set the whole thing up for under a 1G. Oh...and I want to do the hydro thing too...thoughts?

I would go for Mars all the way, I'm on my first Led grow and I'm so glad I retired from my Hps, sure others will chime in with their mars outcome too.

I run two SP 250's in a 4*3 tent but two of these would be perfect for a 4*4.

Hydro and lights for under a grand is a stretch.

You'll need around 500 wall watts of quantum boards

Look at @Budget LED great lights and prices.

I use atreum lights in one of my tents and love them.

Diy strip lights would be the cheapest but require some knowledge and time on your end.

Everyone regrets a cheap light purchase at some point. No one complains about having nice lights.

I really like growing in Coco, all the benefits of hydro and more forgiving than water culture

Thanks @TurboBucket for the mention. For a 4 x 4, we have some solid options. Our Series 3 Red Spec 500w light in 3500k is a proven producer. Same goes for our series 2 480w options. If interested, we can chat in DM about it. All our lights feature high end components from Samsung and Meanwell.

. Are your lights / kits plug and play or is some assembly required ?

One option would be to spend everything you can on a light now and grow in soil for a year or so and save up for a great hydro unit.

Spend most your money on lights and genetics. With out them what ever you add won't matter. Plus soil grows are a bit easier to start out with. It lets you learn the plant first.
