hi iam a newb to growing and was wondering if aquarium lights will grow skunk

the one i have is a 55watt white light hpc bulb .

Thats not enough wattage, and in all likelyhood it's probably not the right spectrum either. Just use CFL's like everyone else, they are cheap to obtain, power, and they work.

Here is a link to a current grow journal where cfl's are used. Im doing 12/12 with cfl's?

You'll find more options on-line versus your local stores. Try bulbs.com and look at the Compact Fluorescent Screw In Bulbs. I live in the U.S. so I couldn't tell you where to go locally for them but you can a least get an idea of what your looking for.

i have found this site in the uk ,they do starter kits would any of them be any good and will they job.

i plan to use a fridge so i wont have loads of room ,will one of these starter kits be enuff, and what is the best watt to go for ? 400w?
