Like a tomato plant?

I think this will work just fine. Was planning on doing it on my next grow.

Works great with tomatoes, less great with peppers (both nightshade family)
I tried that with a few clones in rockwool once....had endless problems with the 50% that survived.
I figured that if you could root from a cutting you should get new roots if buried deep.....did not work for me.
Personally, I don't expect to ever do that again.
Just my experience....

YES, if you bury the stem deeper it will develop roots. It's the same as when you're rooting cuttings.
I've heard stories of people with too high humidity that got roots growing into the air!

The answer is yes, roots will grow on earthed stems. Ive seen number accounts of people's seedlings stretching too big and their solution was to bury the stem to shorten the hight and in return, that buried stem grows roots on them.

No problem man. I dunno what you mean my "deep roots" but the roots on my clones go all the way down and start poking out the holes on the bottom of the pot.
