Low stress training

I have a quick question regarding low stress training outdoors.
once the plant has been tied down, and grown around the circumference of the pot and makes its way back to the starting point, if you don’t wish to top it , how do you keep going around without interfering with previously tied down parts?

I build out using wood lath strips. You can spiral out on 6 or 8 like a spider's web.

I top mine and grow out radially but you get the idea:

Hello @Jbreezy hope you are well my friend.
My outdoor girls are topped several times. Then the branches are tied down with string.
Each layer as she grows was tied out flat.
Here is one stripped ready for harvest. You can still see some of the strings.
