Lower Alps Outdoor: Three In Soil

Enjoying the sun. L to R - Peyote Forum, Amnesia Fast and Bubba Kush. The Bubba K is getting purple and has the densest nugs I have ever seen. I think the grow overall has gone well and the buds are really looking good for outdoor.

I'll probably take the A Fast tomorrow, center. They're saying snow this weekend. I need another three weeks of decent weather.

I chopped the Amnesia yesterday. Very potent, kind of charged and spacey.
I cut to hanging size and gave a fresh water wash, a few bucket dunks a rinse and then a light spin in the salad spinner. I'm always amazed at how much crap they collect. They fluff out and I manicure. I like to get off what I can of the BT and spinosad.

Congratulations on your harvest. Some of the buds look very frosty, and makes a nice hanging line in your allotted drying room! Good stuff!
Have you grown Amnesia previously? I've never had the pleasure but it is one of those legendary names amongst strains.

Thanks Stunger. I’m glad to have one down. These flowers grew full with heavy trichomes throughout. I was looking at varieties to grow and wanted at least one to finish fast. The Amnesia Fast claimed it was fast and was similar to Amnesia. I am pleased.

I appreciate you following along. I feel odd journaling with so few viewing.

For me one of the good things about creating a journal is that it is always available online to check back on the notes I've made about my grow, because I would otherwise forget or if I did made a hardcopy note I'd probably forget where I put it, but having a journal here in on 420 then all I have to do is log on and take a look. I think we learn so much in doing these grows that it is really useful to write things down so we can be better gardeners the next time!

Some of the 'fast' strains sound very interesting. As much as I'd like to say that I would be patient enough to flower out long flowering Sativas, the reality is that if the weather doesn't cooperate than all the good intentions in the world won't count for anything.

Anyway, do a good job of drying and curing your bud and enjoy! :ganjamon:

We had a cold and wet few days, we even had some snow.

The Peyote Forum and the Bubba K. are looking good. I’m getting anxious for these to finish.

The yield on the Amnesia was 119g, a bit over 4oz.

Those girls are looking great stinker. Congrats.
I guess you move then inside w/ cold nights and foul weather ?

Thank you. I've brought them in two nights so far. Tonight might be the third, I hope to let them finish outside. Low again tonight of 0 c tonight, warming to lows of 5 or above for the next week. It looks like the Peyote will be ready next weekend.

She looks lovely. Have you done any pre-harvest testing of her buds yet?
I have, she is very strong. I will need to try further to give an accurate assessment. I am pleased with both the amnesia and the peyote. The BK should finish this week. When do you start your grow?

That's great, they looked very nice at harvest! It is important not to test just once and pass judgement, but instead really give it a comprehensive go :ganjamon:

I think if you manage to grow some different strains and get them successfully to harvest, then you can't really ask for much more than that.

My next grow I will kick off very soon by popping some seeds. Everything is ready except I haven't yet decided on what I want grow. But I want to start this week or next so I need to fairly quickly make a decision.

I'm looking forward to following your grow.

Its been a few years since I grew anything and I have never grown in this climate. This year I chose odd strains focusing primarily on when they would finish and quality of high. I am very happy with the quality & genetics, very potent and frosty. I made a few choices early on that affected the yield. Anyway, live and learn.

Its getting colder and wet. The peyote is now in boxes for a few days before jarring. The BK should be ready by the weekend. I'll be glad when I can chop it.

That's a nice harvest - you have done well :thumb:
Of course as you have noted there are things that you'd done differently and that what makes it a joy to get a useful harvest and the reward of the experience of how to do it better the next grow, and then do same again the following! Well done you.:ganjamon:

I’m chopping the Bubba K. in the morning. Tonight will be her last cold night after a last decent afternoon of sun. Today I sampled a bud today that I took on Sunday, she is incredible now, these last 5 days should really have finished her off nicely.

Grateful to have brought three that were genetically different to a successful completion resulting in high quality 420.

I was able to jar 157g of the Peyote.
