Thanks for taking the time to reply. My first grow built up hype a lot easier than this one and it was an very cheap and unexperienced setup. Now my setup is novice at best, no one wants to give me a pointer or two? Its kinda sad i have to make a post like that before someone will post.

The only reason im discouraged is that i have about 6 followed journals, each of them are getting 6-7 posts a day, but a couple are in flowering, and lets face it, flowering plants are more attractive than wee seedling. Also, it helps to talk to my friends here about this rather than my real life friends. I feel like everyone should know, and i am proud of my setup, ive put in a lot of hard work and research on this. I have never invested myself this much on anything. This is not just some kid trying to get high and impress girls, i am truly in need of the medicine that mother nature has provided. I hope you understand what i mean....

@ dro, These plants will veg indefinitely after i find sex, since this is my mother chamber. Once 4-6 good clones get rooted its off to the flowering room.

@ anyone, I have a yellow leaf (cotyledons i think is what they are called, the leaf that lines the shell casing on the seed) only one seedling is doing it so far, ph is around 7, some twisting occurred to all seedlings, but i diagnosed that to be the lights too close in a 80-82 deg temp. The longer leaves are drooping downward, might be over-water, but i dont think so, i wait till the soil is dry. Under-watering? quite possible. Another possibility is that since i had the seedling on 24h of light for 7 days they dont have the root structure needed to get the nutes it needs from the water or soil. I just switched to 18/6 last night. What am i missing?

another question, why is this one soo much bigger than the others, and this seed sprouted late!

for comparison...

should i raise my light more so they will stretch? no stretching going on at all in there.

Sometimes you get runts, and sometimes you get really aggressive growers. Always watch the aggressive growers, they tend to be dudes sometimes . The yellowin of the cotys are quite normal, don't let that stress ya out none. As long as the true leaves/leaves look nice and pretty which yours do, you should be alright.
I will say this, I had no idea what you post said before I checked your journal, I was jus doing my run thru journals to drool and ppls buds and I saw yours. Ill try and stop in and see if you're doin okay. I understand tho, its like having a cute child you want everyone to see. In your case you're more like Jon n Kate + 8 lol.. No worries tho, its gonna be fun watchin your ladies gro

Thank you dro, i am not as worried now. That soil, well that is the last time i am using soil period, dwc will be next. I will leave whatever mothers i get in soil though. (glad my nutes can go both ways)

Any comments about the slight twist and curl of the leaves, and the lack of stretching? I am a little paranoid about these for some reason, not like my last grow at all.

I just switched to 18/6 last night. What am i missing?

I THINK i may know! It could be your humidity level. I noticed my babies were starting to droop so I just sprayed the hell out of the cab and the pots to try and raise humidity levels. About three hours later they were all perked up and looking great!

ONLY SPRAY your plants if you are NOT USING HPS or MH lighting. Or wait until the lights are off. I hear you can blow up your lights if you cool them too quickly like you could with water spray.

Try to keep your sprouts as humid as possible. I heard they like it all the way up to 100% humidity. I try to keep my box at about 40-50% right now and they like it.

i know i know, Ive been dealing with issues at work and moving in to a new place is always stressful, didn't have any help. Had to pay a guy to help me move the couch and other stuff i couldn't lift on my own.

I wasn't, ummm, medicated when i wrote that. Wont make that mistake again.

I have to realize that not many people can post while they are at work and stuff like i can..

LOL dude relax, they're only seedlings too wait til they are flowerin all over an you'll maybe see some action. I don't have many visitors, but it keeps me from tellin all my friends about my "kids" all the time. if its any consolation, I actually check your thread every day.

And i feel you luxx, I use marijuana for some of the same reasons. Debilitating anxiety and I was diagnosed as bipolar when I was 19. Was on massive ammounts of meds for almost 2-3 years before I realized that the pot I was smoking every once and a while did such a better job than depakote, welbutrin, zoloft etc all combined.

So, i gave up the meds and have been med free and able to manage my conditions WITHOUT prescription medication for almost 8 years now.

Just remember though, alot of people on this site have far worse conditions as you and I... we're lucky (well, as lucky as someone with severe anxiety can be) we don't suffer from a physical debilitation. I have a great uncle who is paralyzed from the waist down and I thank my maker everyday that I only have to deal with anxiety and depression.

I have really low humidity, outside of the cab i keep a soaked rag right where the intake is. I have a few spray bottles from my last grow, but ive used other chemicals in them since, so i will go buy some unused ones.

Please.. dont get me wrong, i wasn't saying that people should help me so i can get my meds. I was saying that i need them to function at all. And that being the reason of my distress. If something as small as marijuana can help someone, regardless of disorder, then im all for it.

Help me, help them, to help others.

ps. glad that mj helped you get off of all the crazy things that they give you nowa days for phycological problems, whos in charge? Not me.

sorry i didnt see your post the 1st time i read through. Yea, i am low on supply so i am on edge a little. So many variables, so many things can go wrong. Thanks for checking on me, dont be afraid to post tho, i welcome anything.

High luxx. I should have dropped by sooner. My bad. I'm jumping from pillar to post around here and you're not the only one I've been neglecting. Take a number and get in line!

Don't sweat the little round leaves going yellow and falling off. They are only there to kick-start the true leaves and after they've done their job they are redundant.

A lot of the time the lower leaves show weird shapes and/or a little yellowing at the start but go on to form great plants. My little Kali babies both came up all twisted into a spiral almost and are doing great now.

That one plant that is growing faster than the others probably just has superior genetics and will deserve your attention whether boy or girl. If it's a girl make sure you get clones and if it's a boy get pollen.

I'm a firm believer in giving plants some sleepy time every day. I'm doing 20/4 with the Kali but go 18/6 for veg time under the HIDs. During the night the plant is busy converting all those lovely nutes into sugars, amino acids etc that it needs for vigorous growth. That's why plants often look so perky first thing in their morning. If they never get a break they have to do everything all at once and you know what that's like. ;0)

It looks like your doing a ! Just don't mother-hen them to death and they'll be fine.

Thanks Labrat for the info. I read that a few times around the net and didnt understand it until you typed it out. So, basicly the leaves used up all the natural nutrients that was originally in the seed, thus turning yellow?

And lights off is when the plants roots grow the most, right?

I'm not positive about that. I would think that the roots would be doing their growing the same time the plant is but don't quote me on that. I just have a gut feeling that like any living thing our babies need their nap time.
