Macro photo tips for olloclip or others?

Hello everyone. I just bought an olloclip 3 in 1 macro lens for my iphone.
Tried 21x last night but wow the focal range is small.
Tips for macro getting in focus? For lighting? Led lighted macros look horrible so I was using a fluorescent tube held in my hand.

Nice shots OttawaGreen! To increase the focal length of any shot, you will need to increase the DOF, Depth of Field. First of all, get as much light on the subject as possible. If your camera has the capability, increase the f-stop to as high as possible, which will slow the shutter speed, without causing camera shake, tripods are essential for macro photography IMHO. Here are some of my first shots using a DSLR with a 1:1 macro lens - Novice Macro Photography.

I don't think I have those features on my iphone? Is there an app I can get to control those?

I'm not sure about that. If your phone camera has no control over those functions, then I don't think an app will solve the problem. Some phone cameras are more P&S while others offer more DSLR-like features so it all depends on your camera phone.
