Mainline help please

Once you have mainlined your plant to the desired number of stems/colas should you cut off other minor stems/growth points that grow on/ off those main stems / colas ?

I am a first time Mainliner also on my first photoperiod grow.

I have flipped to flower and am in week 2. Growing in deep Water Culture indoor. Mainlined to 8 stems and been removing some other stems. defoliating etc.

Since you're in the 2nd week of flower, I would not remove anything. The scrog is not full enough to block light to other sites and it looks like you've already removed the lowest branches through mainlining so I think you're good.
I'd also recommend waiting an extra week before flipping next time.
