male or female? some one help please!

The top cluster looks very much like a male. But I could see how it may appear to be a 'cola' type looking growth.

But if you look down the stalk, the ball clusters protruding with no pistols is a dead give-away. Definitely male. Classic male flower cluster.

Yeah the top had me wondering but a little farther down in the background is obvious male balls hanging from the node
