Can I get a second opinion my buddy says this is a male plant

Not sure how he can tell yet, usually you can tell a week to ten day after you switch to 12/12 lighting, is this in flower yet? I know I can't tell yet from that picture.

Your buddy either doesn't know what he's talking about or he was given a different photo to review than we were. As previously mentioned it's still a bit early to tell. Looks healthy though from what little I can see.
