Male plants

Hi I have 2 plants one male and one female. This strain I have found male flowers quite early and the females are quite a bit slower. Would it be safe to get a few seeds from the male before the female flowers, or does the male flower effect the female before the female flowers?

Males make pollen, which pollinates the females flowers that will then make seeds on the female. You could collect the pollen and learn how to store it if you wanted to try and make seeds on part of a female, otherwise why folks get rid of males as soon as they show if they don't want seeds, as if you are growing outside not only affecting your plants but the pollen can travel for miles and mess with folks plants that are growing near you.

Thank you I decided after your reply that it's just not worth it! I thought I could quickly get seeds before the flowers started
