PORTSMOUTH — A man faces a felony drug charge for allegedly rolling a marijuana cigarette in Market Square on Saturday.

Adelbert Harvey, 33, of 567 State St. was arrested Saturday at about 2:40 p.m. after police found him with the drug.

Prosecutors increased the charge to a felony level offense because he has a previous conviction. He also faces a misdemeanor possession charge.

Harvey pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor count and will face the felony charge in superior court. He is being held on $750 cash bail and his probable cause hearing will be held on June 26. If he makes bail, he is prohibited from being in Market Square.

Sorry about the guy getting arrested, but he was bold.

I had to laugh, he is banned from Market Square. Big woo! Now that's enough to scare you straight.

Let's hope that's the worst that will happen to him.

Peace and happiness

Like banned from Market Square is going to stop him from going there. And he must be rich for $750 cash bail .I know no one that walks around with that money but the drug dealers.
