Dr David Saul will not be involved with Cannabinology after December 31, 2011 and his site is now down -- This website is currently unavailable.
I understand that his site will be up for a while after his resignation, but he will not be taking anymore patients in this area of expertise.

Had a terrible experience with this Dr. I initially thought he was great, what with his articles and all. Just jerked me around and wasted 2.5 months of my time with empty promises and having me lie about my medical history (still have email where he tells me what to lie about).

I came across a great website when I was looking into getting my MMAR as well: www.weed-doctor.ca They were extremely helpful with everything and have guided me through the process. I am pretty sure they have a large list of doctors that are marijuana friendly. Anyway, check em out....or not, I don't really care.....I'll be smoking a J either way LOL

Dr Saul retired from his cannabinology practice, year-end 2011, but continues with his practice of treating male sexual concerns. He is not a psychiatrist.

Why cause he was threat of having his MD licence taken away ..and HC did a great number ..on him
I was his patient ..but what he signed last year ..I went to Toronto for a last visit ..they are not honouring his sign ..so you will get it back ..so you need to scramble to find someone else.
Not good for anyone..so what does one do ..well its like I feel you are held hostage ..and from what I am told if I want my mmar signed their is one Dr ...or something called tele meds or something ..whatever that will cost 600 to sign.
when mj was supposed to be good and legal so now people are being put in a situation as far as I am concerned as like to go loan sharks so each and every year it is harder..if you are dying of cancer, aids, ms or severe arthritis, or one other your gp can sign ..other wise out of luck.
I feel to be honest this immoral and against people..if you have money transportation fine. ..so my arthritis in my feet are advancing.
so at this point I have a car..but disability ..paying rent ..there is not much left. so if you have the ability to grow fantastic. but indoors with our new smart meter system ..there is little money ..due to the lights having to be on.
so what do I do ..just say fuck it ..go back on fentyl patch ..I can not afford or able to travel.

So the person that has a list of Drs for Catagory 1 ..great you are able to help..what happens to most of us catagory two ..you said contact you..I can not pm as I do not have enough posts in to do that

I think the real reason he stopped was he had too many patients going for the program and counldnt keep up with all the follow ups on top of his family/G.P. practice. im looking again for another doctor so i will post if i find any other doctors willing to sign ! good luck to all that are looking!

So like most we are in a similar situation..what if you dont have money...or able to travel..
There are many like me..even today walking to the market two blocks was out of the question needing my scooter.
What if you have not go 250 ..to 400 plus for these drs to sign off..do you wait till you are a catagory one.
So do I wait till my feet and legs give out and then my arthritis in leg is deemed severe so my local doc can sign.
this to me sucks.
That people are put in a situation on something that really helps...with MJ I can actually function work outside do a bit of gardening and have a life..and maybe return to work ..not on odsp ...where I struggle..do I eat ..or what bill do I pay. is Health Canada ever if you buy from them put it on your drug card.
so why is it illegal..or its legal excuse me ..if you find someone that signs ..
but if you have no money ..travel for even an hour by car puts you at risk ..what if you have ptsd ..and entering a car feels like a death sentence.

afraid why cause took it out and it near over turned going up and negoiating a curb.
so why is it wrong..
why is ok to issue me a script for dilauded ..morphine, fentyl patch , oxys, percs whatever
but no ok for mj

I have no idea but before I would travel anywhere do the old fashioned pick up and phone Drs , do your own research ..first off your family dr..that you have the papers for the diagnosis.Second anyone that is able in the Specialist ..Rhemu...Physc, look at your own history who you have seen..that is the start of your hunt...also have several copies printed out of the MMAR and extra pictures etc. It is going to be difficult but not necessary impossible. There are websites that do charge for information so I understand and other methods. As I have stated before be your own advocate. Call your local hospitals...Physc hospitals of who is on staff that can see you ..or who can refer you..Make it your job to find the Dr . Have a list of your past meds..have a copy of their side effects.. There are other herbs that might be able to use besides mj.

One last beware of ...just my own advice just before you send money off to someone charging a large fee..remember that it is possible may not approve his signature...and your out money ..and frustrated and back to square one.
Have done all the research here in Ottawa,my Dr states he would sign it but only if I was a level 9 cancer.This amount of time I have been searching has only made me sicker and more frustrated.Guess from what I have read there is no more growing allowed or use until we are dead or sent to prison where we can be killed. Frustration ,Pain,Depression and lack of understanding from healthy members of my "family" seem to be my way of life.Have done the prescription route ended up in hospitals with IV bags,and no one seems to understand except you all who live it.

First of all if you have cancer any GP can sign off as you are a catagory one..that is not as impossible than a catagory 2 patient ..dont give up hope. So you live in Ottawa..then have family friends start making lists of Drs. and call it is not impossible.

Before I would go to outpatients ..call the hospital..and also depends on your diagnosis..as if you read my earlier quotes...this is a research project...that may be a annual thing.. You cant sit idle by for it to happen..
