A Tuesday raid on three Springville-area marijuana gardens resulted in the destruction of plants that would have had a street value of $69.6 million, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department reported.

The three gardens contained 17,396 marijuana plants, according to a release. U.S. Forest Service officials assisted in the raid.

A day earlier, sheriff’s department and federal officials destroyed marijuana plants with a reported street value of $45.8 million. Those gardens were found on federal land near White River and Dark Canyon.
