A farmer harvesting corn last Friday in Odessa Township found more than just corn in his field.
After noticing several marijuana plants growing in his field, the farmer contacted the Ionia County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies responded to the tip, and upon arriving at the field near Harwood and Goodenough roads, discovered and confiscated about 10 marijuana plants.
Sheriff department's Lt. Mike Seinen said the plants are currently being held as evidence, but as of now, there are no leads on any suspects.
The incident remains under investigation.
