You know pic#3 is male, right?
Lmao. For real? Yeah. The 4x4 is my breeding project. Took me around 7-8 months to find a male that had structur. Crazy all the males I went through. Non stacked flowers. Lanky. Weak ass stem. Iv gotten compliments on this boy. From some popular breeders. I woulda tossed this one to if it not been for a couple of the breeders I chat with on discord to help me out. It’s my first time breeding and since I’m into genetics the way I am. I didn wanna be the next pollen chucker and go backwards with genetics. But He’s a looker. Smells. Sticky stem rub. Some resin. And I did not top at all. I mean. You woulda thought he’s a girl lol. Katsu discord mentioned that he looked recessive. But the only way to find out is to work with him. So he’s tagging the following strains as we speak. You know pic#3 is male, right?
Iv been talking with katsu on his discord and holy moly. That cat is a very smart man when it comes to breeding for improvement, and not just to get some seeds. That’s the reason I kept looking for a Recessive male. And it’s pretty obvious. Males will flower/show sex a lot fast than females. When they don’t. You have a stud. They typically will look like girls and for the most part. Trick growers until that last sec into thinking they girls. The males looks like they make the girls go crazy when present as well. I’m noticing more swelling in the same cuts.I am sincerely impressed and have never seen a male plant with such vigor.
Just grew some Twenty20 autos. I didn't do the genetics as a grower any justice, but it is first class bud & smoke.
My stock piles have some very solid Regular genetics, which I've never grown. Somewhat anxious of the challenges and somewhat don't want to kill off the males. Maybe I'll have to give trying to breed some plants a thought.
