Mateo's Great White Shark Clones

So you dont use rockwool?
I cut mine, stuck them in the honey/water for half a day, then into moistened soil mix with some sort of humidity dome or even a white plastic bag to retain the rh. I open daily and mist, then slowly harden them off over the next week or two.

It helps to keep the root area cool and dark also.
Okay here go... went from added another plant lol. I took cuttings from the two large clones and just made smaller clones to see if the process will work any better. I used Root riot cubes, dipped the stem in raw honey, then put them in a cup of lukewarm honey water and lastly put them into the root riot. There is a 50w led grow light just from Lowe's about 18" away. I just misted so the humidity is relatively high at the moment.

Even if they look like they may not make it, keep it up. All of a sudden they could will start growing. It will be more apparent with the root riots. Mine looked so yellow and dying... Then boom, they started growing.

Have to say I'm liking this better. Thinking you will get some of these clones to root :high-five:

Hey there, as to what Chris said definitely wait 4-5 weeks before adding half strength nutes. Id eveb wait maybe 6 to 7 till they start showing signs they need nutes. Then you give them half strength to start and youll see them bounce back 2 fold overnight if the environment is giving. Then you start from there. But remember moderation is absolutely key.

On the perlite, yes Mj adding additional perlite to the mix will help immensely in my opinion. It helps with drainage, and many other things. Just have to find the ratio you like. Just remember the more perlite and less soil the less nutes will be in the soil. So be mindful of the timing. Other than that its amazing in all honesty. Becuase you can start using the good nutes at that point and they will love it :)

Hope this helped Mj, any other questions always feel free to ask anyone.

Goodluck!!

Here's what happened after a few hours at work, when I left the humidity was at 91% because of misting so I kept them open halfway until I got back. The rh was 78% at this point. I misted them again and closed it up and this is what it's at right now. I also changed the location of the light and aimed it upwards a small amount just so that they don't have 100% direct light and heat from the light. I hope they like the new setup.

hey there Mj, saw your post and pics, i would recommend putting some lights closer to the plants, the way the light are currently i dont think they will be getting enough. but other than that everything else looks good to go.

Goodluck buddy

Day two with the Great White Shark clones in their new setup. After a night the tekp and humidity seem to be good. I moved the light a few inches closer but I'm just worried about burning them.

Do I need more heat in the dome? Its been in the high 70s with RH in the high 80s to low 90s.

No your heat and rh are perfect. You just need more light.

Edit
I would say each sqaure foot needs between 75 to 100 watts of lighting. So if you a 2x2 you need atleast 200w or 250w. Now when i say this i dont mean what it "replaces" im talking about how much watts it pulls from the wall. Theres LEDs that say there 1000w. But only pull 200w or 250w from the wall. So really they would cover a canopy of 2 square feet or 2.5 square feet. As an example.

Hope that helps.

Here's a picture of the Great White Shark mother plant. It's almost 9' tall, growing outdoors in the mid 80s with 70-80% humidity as an estimate. She is grown with the Fox Farm Ocean Forest along with the Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom and Maxi Bloom.
