A three-day medical marijuana convention in Glendale is offering a variety of workshops and the latest merchandise.

Crowds on Friday milled around University of Phoenix Stadium for the Green Relief Medical Marijuana Convention & Expo.

The expo touts experts from around the country offering insights into medical marijuana, its impact on patients, doctors and caregivers.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu was scheduled to speak about law enforcement Friday afternoon, while Will Humble, director of the Arizona Department of Public Health, took questions.

Arizona voters last November approved Proposition 203 that legalized the cultivation and dispensing of marijuana for medical uses. The law took effect Thursday.

Expo-goers could learn about using Cannabis in food, working at dispensaries and the growing trend of "medicinal Cannabis in mainstream medicine."

Vendors plied their latest wares for users.
