State law enforcement must abide by STATE laws. A police officer who arrests me, with a valid doctors note, is violating my civil rights and enforcing laws they are not supposed to enforce. Local police and Sherriffs work for the STATE, and therefore must abide by the states laws and regulations. Medical marijuana is legal in California, but the thread of FEDERAL interference is always an issue.
