MH to HPS changeover concerns...

Autos, week 4-5 from seed, preflowers barely showing.

• Time to go HPS?
• Do HPS lamps run hotter than MH - If so how much higher should I raise them (MH now @ ~22')
• Any other thoughts/comments?

OOps n Thanks - I said it all backwards! Still same concerns though MH to HPS

It all depends on air flow n circulation. Try to keep temp on top of canopy 75 to 80. I use air cooled hood with cold air intake n good circulation, I keep my 1000w hps about 20 inches from canopy.

Aircooled, good circ & temp too, currently MH @ ~20". Questions...

• Do the HPS run considerably hotter than MH? Thinking so, may start HPS lamps ~6" higher than MH is now.
• Autos @ 4-5 weeks & preflower - Is it a good time to swap from MH to HPS or should I wait?
