Mixing colors with lights?

Hello all,

My plant is still vegetating, my goal is to use it as a mother plant. I just put a new fluorescent light that covers more area than the previous one. It has 6 fluorescent tubes. 2 cool white, 2 blue and 2 red. Am I inducing flowering with those colors or is it fine for veg?

Flower is based on the amount of light received over a period of time. The colors will not make it flower.

Do you have T8 ?

T5 It seems like the output of all colors the white predominates. (At least to my eye) Btw is white widow. Light is on 24/7

I'm not so sure that the cool-white has much benefit to your plants. Hosebomber is a good person to chime in and either agree or correct me.

Are you using high output T5?

Im using high output T5. 65W each tube. Maybe I need to get a warm white.

You want 6500k and 2700k

A mixture works for flowering or any stage. I have used the Quantum Bad Boy's for a while with great results. I would usually mix 80/20

So with your Quantum you use all white but combine the 6500K with the 2700k?

I use all 6500k during veg, and in flower I use 80% 2700k and 20% 6500k
