Got the moby dick xxl by dinafem and quick one by royal queen seeds. Will be growing both in Promix in the veg tent with cinderella 99 that's already growing. The will sit about 4ft under 600w draw of 4000k led until pistols show than I'll pull one of the 300w to the other side of the tent so I can raise and lower it.

Dont mind the dirty hands. Been mixing up promix today

Dinafem - Moby Dick XXL

They popped overnight. Began cracking about 6 hours after being in water. After the crack I planted them. The moby dick is in a 5gal fabric pot and the quick one is in a one gallon plastic “tub” (will be making seeds so not worried about yield on the quick one. Will make seeds with the moby dick as well but I’d like for her to grow out big so I can get plenty of seeds from her.

Right now all I have in N spikes and slow release 2-5-3 but I’ll be getting the GH Trio pack soon. Also have some bloom booster and liquid seaweed on the way

Liquid seaweed and surfactant/spreader sticker for $2 on amazon. I ordered their bloom booster, 2 liquid seaweed, and surfactant for like $6 shipped. Check out Pendleton’s turf supply on amazon. The seaweed is 0-0-17 but that’s okay. I’ve also thought about using seaweed+fish emulsion as a foliage spray. Idk much about fish emulsion but I know seaweed extract has a lot of plant hormones like cytokinins and others In it. I’m 100% okay with Plant hormones as long as their from a natural source. I have heard that some PGR actually lower thc and bud quality though. 0 exp here so I can’t say. I’d like to experiment with them with the moby dicks just to see how big the buds can get. I get why people want 100% organic weed but I smoke cigars daily, 2-3 cigars and I inhale fully plus drink 8 sodas a day prob and eat fast food regularly. No point in worrying about organic smoke if I’m eating McDonald’s and smoking cigars on the daily. Lol either way I’ll let the moby dick and quick one grow straight up no training so I can pollinate the lower branches for seeds. This is my first run of autos so if any of you guys notice anything I’m doing wrong or could be doing better please say so. I’ll go on 20/4 soon. I need to buy another timer. Their all on 24hr at 4000k. I plan to pollinate themselves plus each other. I will pollinate and tag each branch separately (one self pollinate and one cross polinate) so I have moby dick xxl seeds, Quick One and cross them on both (quick dick and fast whale I’ll call em lol) I don’t know much about breeding but I fig it would be fun either way to see what comes out.

They’ve been growing fast. I have been doing some leave tucking on the moby dick but that’s all. Both in promix watered at 6.2ph. GH Flora Trio at 50% strength

I was going to use teresias spray but heard if you use them on already fem plants it can cause issues with virility and cause genetic mutations. Makes me nervous so now I’m second thinking it

Feeding 2ml calmag, 2ml micro, 1ml grow and 2ml bloom per gallon

A lil nitrogen toxicity on the quick one but oh well lol

Quick one, slow growing due to N toxicity. I put some slow release N spikes but very small amount. Turns out was too much. Should’ve knew better but hindsight is 20/20.

Now on to the big boy

Once she sexually matured growth exploded. Keeping feed at about 500ppm around 6.0-6.3ph

Pistils have been here for about a week now. No sight of preflowers so I believe she’s still in veg. She was at 9” in the last update. She’s about 12.5 now! I’ve been tucking leaves and it’s proven useful. Those branches are reaching for sure. I’m really excited to see how this turns out

Another update. The moby dick is stretching up for sure now. She’s getting tall quick

The Quick One is Growing some as well. Nothing like the moby dick but that’s my fault as it has N toxicity which is easily seen by the leaves clawing. I am watering it with just water till there’s no more clawing on the new growth .

She’s officially in preflower.
Growing about 2” a day
Next water will lean more on the flowering at 11 on the micro gro and bloom. Been measuring twice a day and the she starts to slow the stretch I’ll starting going heavy on the P&K

No signs of deficiencies
Mildest nute burnt
No stunting
