Montel Williams is expected to be in Harrisburg this week.
The Emmy award winning talk show host is lobbying for the legalization of medicinal marijuana.
Williams, who's been living with multiple sclerosis since 1999, recently wrote an op-ed published by PennLive. In it, he details his support for Senate Bill 3, the Medical Cannabis Act.
"With nearly nine out of 10 Pennsylvania voters, why is this bill being held up? Don't these Pennsylvanians, including chronically ill patients who might benefit, deserve an up or down vote from the Pennsylvania House?" wrote Williams.
Polls say more than 85% of Pennsylvanians are in favor of medical marijuana.
Williams is scheduled to speak at a 12:30 press conference Thursday at the Capitol building rotunda.
