Moto258 Grow Journal 2020 MoonDawg, Train Wreck & Unknown Clones From Last Grow

Night view and update on trainwreck and unknown clones!! Trainwreck is coming along nicely still bulking up her buds and hairs all nice and white still so has some time to go. The 4 unknown clones in the back of room are still getting ripe but has some more time left to go it’s going to be one of them long strains forsure! Seeds forsure in the clones but no longer throwing bananas so I put train wreck back in with them just baby sitting the 4 clones for now watching for more bananas. So far so good!

Update on train wreck and unknown clones!! Train wreck is getting some beautiful colors all over her now. The 4 clones are just about ready to come down in my opinion. I guess train wreck is going to be a very long flower time which was expected but grows at a rapid pace once she decides to improve in her growth weather she was in veg or flower. Glad I cloned this one she’s spot on with terps and trichome production!!

Update on the last girl in the flower room at the moment!! She’s getting a fade in the few fan leaves I left on the bottom portion of her, and seeing the colors I want in the trichs sooo looks like she’s starting her harvest process in the morning. Sad to see her go but she’s got a good healthy mother in the veg room now, so it will be an easier process for this guys soul once the first cut is made haha! Coming in next will be strawberry cough, and more of trainwreck.

Sorry I might have asked you this before. But I have this male plant it’s large. I want to cut some branches off to give more room for the female. But don’t want to just discard it. How would you go about cloning it? I have some cloning gel. And perilite. And hp promix and some myco stuff.
I was wondering if it can be done. And if so how would you go about cloning him???

No worries brother you can ask me anything ya want with out me getting annoyed lol anything to do with cannibis I engage myself in as much as possible so I love when someone asks me opinions. But on that subject before I go in depth what’s the environmental situations for the male and the female, and what’s their situation on having the sex parts showing?

So there very stable. Very dry like 40-56 humidity. Temps are not below 66 f
They showed sex and have switched lighting to 16/8 for the past week or two now. (Was 12/12 for a couple weeks before that)
Grown in hp promix soil cut with about an extra 30-40% perilite. Was aiming for 40 but some of them look like they got more then the others.
they are showing. . Male photo close up. The top cola.

and the branches I want removed.

any more info needed?

Sounds like your in the sweet spot on humidity levels their in my opinion. I’ve gone all the way to 30% last week or so in flower and that’s been my go to when shooting for humidity. As long as your not bringing your plants into extreme humidity changes you’ll be okay. In veg I do try and get past 60 mark to bring in more vegetation and then slowly reduce humidity levels as I introduce into flower.
Now for going about cloning your male I’d go ahead and make a few cuts if you aren’t using a humidity dome which I’ve created my own dome that works for me. But just take a few cuts from the top section and a couple from the bottom that have the male parts eroding from the plant. Make sure to cut more than 4 inches with 2-3-4 nodes I guess it doesn’t matter on the number of nodes I’ve always cut at a 45 angle shaved ever so slightly a half inch from the end of your cut stem before making your 45 degree cut so that you have more advantage over roots forming on their. Dip your cut ends into rooting hormone and since your using a soil mixture you can start them out in either cheap cloning plugs or you can put them directly into the soil to start the root process. Cut all the tips of the leaves on the cut clone other than a couple leaves on the very top to focus more on the roots instead on the plants focus on growing more vegetation. If you have a heating pad I’d highly recommend using one on lowest setting heat when you place them under a low wattage light or a windowsill. I clone all mine under 4 4f fluorescent lights very cheap set up. I used to just put my cuttings directly into a solo cut of soil to clone. But I’ve been using cheap sponge like cloning plugs now and have had better success rooting them in with them instead of just soil. But soil it can be done that’s why I suggest making a few cuts Incase you have any issues getting one to root you’ll have a lot more chances of success with many cutting instead of a couple. If your plan is to keep that males genetics around so you can make more room I’d just clone all the tops of the male that have the male sex parts and get rid of the father plant you have their now so you have the room for your ladies to thrive. One more tip on cloning in solo cups with soil if your doing this set up just make sure to wet the soil real nice and then take a pencil and poke a hole through the soil till you hit the bottom of the cup before placing your cutting in. Make sure you never let it dry out tho I spray mine with a spray bottle about twice a day sometimes more depending on how humid and hot it is until you notice the plant showing life again. I put all my clones starting out on a 24hr light cycle until you have a good root going then go into 18/6. Let me know if this helps any and if theirs any more specific questions about doing the process and I’ll be happy to help ya out my friend.

Last update on train wrecks journey. She’s now chopped dried and currently curing. Smells amazing and turned purple all over. Resins are literally oozing out of the buds especially all top and middle class buds!! Haven’t had a really dilaled in weight yet but currently with it being in the 63% range in the cure process I’ve weighed her in at 230g from the one girl!! Strawberry cough and more of what I just grew from train wreck will be next when I start my second journal.
