Hey guys and gals!

Decided to start up a new journal on here because I have so much exciting new stuff to share with you. Many of you may recall my perpetual garden which was my first journal on here. Some of you might also be following my high brix journal with docs kit.

For those of you who haven't seen my previous journals I'll give you all quick summary of where we're at.

In June of 2013 my wife finally let me start growing our own medicine. I was allowed to start small and discreet by putting a 2x4x5 grow tent underneath of our staircase.

Well fast forward a year. Now I'm in a spare bedroom running a 4x4x7, 2x4x5, and 4x8x7. I have a total of 20 strains running perpetually with 15 others waiting to be planted. I have harvested over 75 plants and I've learned a variety of extraction techniques for medical and recreational purposes. I've left my career in the insurance industry. I am now gardening full time and working at a bakery part time for fun.

Besides running docs kit im also running an organic soil mix that I've beem working on. The products im currently using include pro mix, organic compost plus manure, and jobes all purpose soil amendment. With this mix all I do is give the girls straight water. They get more nutrients when I transplant to fresh soil before flower and then I top dress them at 4 weeks. I'm looking to try the jobes organic bloom for the 4 week bloom vs all purpose eventually. I've also recently began experimenting with compost tea. I use the same compost, jobes, Molasses, big bloom, and fish fert in a 5 gal bucket with airstones.

I know there's tons and tons of other stuff I can add to improve. I have the whole FF line and ive tried lots of other recipes. I call this the poor man's organic super soil lol.



The main point of this journal is going to be a record of my day to day events. It's not going to really be sequential or organized. Just random pics, thoughts, smoke reports, product reviews,and discussions on various topics.. Please let me know if there's a better place to post this.

To get things started here's a few pics the garden tonight/this morning. I jarred a UltraSour, harvested an auto Frankenstein bean that I believe is berry Ryder, took lots of dabs of Durban poison and smoked a critical mass joint from cbd crew which is supposed to be 1:1 but it's gets me stoned as hell and smells like fruity Skunk pine. I know not all plants will turn out 1:1. Wish we had a local lab. Thinking the mail kits are sketchy.

Nice glob of reclaim! Throw the reclaim in cannacaps or some brownies, such a great way to use ingest it as it is already activated.
Ultrasour is looking very tasty there mrbub, and your gardens, well, lets just say I wouldn't mind tending to your garden(s) of Eden, or shall I say weedfarm! Positive vibes on your journey to the top

I saw Brett m makes brownies out of his reclaim. The wife is totally grossest out by the idea of reusing it tho lol. Def need to get her cleaned up though.

Your coconut oil caps look so legit dude. I def need to pick that one up from you. Sounds like a great option for my mother in law to treat her diabetes. I'm still working towards the high cbd non psychoactive strains. I might be one of the few on here trying to grow a plant that won't get me high lol. These caps would be my preferred method for non smoking medical patients.

Eh you know me not really a big fan of the UltraSour. Way too much diesel for me. The patients love it though. Great smell, bag appeal, pain relief, and sleep aid. Plus it's a super easy strain with great production.

I'm jealous of your outdoor dude. Now that's it's summer my cave is getting depressing. Looking forward to getting the veggy garden going

Sorry I've been super busy in the garden lately. I haven't had time to document much. I have some exciting updates coming next week. In the meantime I'll tell you what I did today

First, I trimmed 6 small plants and moved 6 new ones into flower. Then I topped and cloned girl scout cookies, purple wreck, blue dream, and cotton candy. And last but not least I watered 16 of my SOG flower plants.

A few new upgrades. I put a new 600 watt hps into my 4x4 veg tent. I'm now converting it to a flower tent. I still need another week for my plants to be ready so I'm keeping 2 4' shop ligts in there to supplement the additional 6 hrs of lighting without having to overlap the hps lights in my other flowering tent. I also got a new fan filter

The cannacaps are amazing, definitely going to keep making and improving on the process. I will surely push all my info your way buddy! We have also been looking for a high cbd pennywise to our liking but no luck out of the first pack, oh well we will keep the search going strong! The UltraSour has always sounded like a treat, right up my alley I love the diesel pungent herb, the sage n sour helped sway my opinion a bitCan't wait to see your OD brotha, I have been a little hit and miss in the garden the past couple weeks. Hey guys,

Sorry for the delays between updates. Its been crazy busy around here and I'm loving every minute of it. Initially I had hoped this journal would be a day to day account of my garden but I'm finding out that's a little too ambitious for me at the moment. Instead I'll just post random stuff on here. Pics when I can, product reviews, growth theories, concentrates, etc.

Just to get you all an overview of where I'm at currently. I'm running a 2x4 veg tent divided into 2 sections with 2 t12 shop lights per section. I also have my 4x8 perpetual flower tent with 2 600 cooltubes. This tent is divided into two sections as well. One is for a SOG smaller plant style using 3 gal and 1 gal pots. The other section is slowly becoming my 7gal smart pot large high brix plant section but there are still a few regular ones in 5 gal buckets as well. And most recently I have added a 4x4 flowering tent with a 600 watt air cooled hood. This tent is for single crop runs. Right now were on week 3.

For nutrients I'm slowly converting to Docs high brix kit. It's the shit! but I also run a homemade just add water recipe using compost, pro mix, and jobes organic all purpose fertilizer. I also tried a similiar mix using OC+. I've had great success with each of these methods. Both produced very smooth organic smoke and excellent yields but it's a guessing game. My soil isn't lab tested and neither is my bud. Sure I can continue on the path I've been on which has led to great success but I'm not looking for good weed. I want to be able to produce the best bud possible. Sorry if this sounds like an advertisement for HB because it's not. I guess the point I'm rambling towards is I believe in constantly changing up my game and always looking for the next great thing on the horizon. (ADHD Moment: Heard about D limonene oil extractions? Read about a guy who won a cup at that the secret cup in Seattle with this.)


Anyways heres the pics. Mainly featuring plants growing in the 4x4 single run tent using my soil method. The largest is the Delicious Seeds Cotton Candy at 5' tall. The harvested bud shot is a Blue OG.

Hey guys,


Random pic dump today. Biggest update is I have harvested my first Kerala Krush. It is by far my largest yielding plant to date. Hoping for 3oz from her. Will be harvesting a Lemon Thai in a week or so. The single crop tent is now on week 4 and looking fantastic. I did have to super crop the cotton candy and wild thai as they were reaching 6' Other than that the perpetual goes on. Slowly converting to High Brix but also will be tweaking some of my homemade organic mixes after recently discovering a local hydro store with TONS of goodies

Wow I can't believe it's already been almost a month since my last post on here. Time has really been flying by. Life has been super busy so I haven't had much time to update this journal. I've mainly been focusing my attention on the High Brix journal just because it's new to me.

There has also been a ton of stuff going on with my other projects as well. The biggest of course is my single crop 12 plant 4x4. This grow is now at about 6 weeks. I'll be harvesting most of the plants close to 8/1. I've included a few pics of these girls for your viewing pleasure

My SOG has been slowly converting from 1gal/3gal containers up to 5/7gal containers. Eventually I plan to run 9 plants per 600 watt hps in a 4x4 area. I hope to grow 3/4-1lb per light. This should be achievable with plants averaging 2oz each. I'll have a better idea of how feasible this plan is once I harvest my single crop.

Sadly I do have to report that my largest yielding plant to date, the kerala x skunk, was a total dud. I've had some bad plants but I've never had a plant that was a complete dud. This one turned out harsh, uneven burning, no high, no flavor, and ironically had an amazingly tropical fruity smell once grinded up with huge fluffy nugs covered in orange hairs. To this day I'm still not sure what went wrong. It was grown identically to several other plants harvested on similar dates that turned out fantasic. I do have some theories. First, I didn't have a date for when it was put in flower so i was really guessing. Secondly, I went by the hairs vs looking at the trichs under my microscope. And finally, it may just need a very long cure. I've heard stories of guys growing bud that seemed terrible at first but then after a very long cure they turned out amazing. I'm hoping for the latter but assuming its the former. Oh well you live and you learn. I still have a few more plants of this strain in flower so I can make sure its grown properly before I decide to eliminate it from my roster.

I'm back!

Took a little vacation from the site. Got too busy and a little too stoned for awhile there. Things are a bit more organized and efficient now which means I should have more time to start coming on here again. Kind of lost track on this journal so going to have it moved to abandoned. I will be starting up a new perpetual journal with all of my current grows. Look for the link in my signature
