My Current Situation - Multiple Strains

Ahhhh, very nice . yes it did. Thank you. Then you know of the insufferably short grow season. This summer felt like Seattle. I put out 100 plus established clones and didn't get 1 back. Rain rain and more rain. This year summer was about a week long. We are having a very mild winter so far. Yet it seems as if it's always cold here anymore.

And thank you for supporting our vets, very very important work. I have lost 2 very good friends to PTSD. If only I could have done more
Thanks for those kind words. I have been in and around the military since 1980. My brothers and sisters in Arms are my second family and there is not a day that goes by that I think of our past, present and fallen heroes. Stop over to the Vets lounge and thank a few Vets. That will make their day. Just follow the link in my sig.

Was on vacation in October to see the family and had to wear shorts damn near every day.

Doing some transplanting this evening, strain is bubble gum, roots established in 5-7 days using root tech gel, rockwool ( 24 hour presoak), sparkling mineral water with general hydro grow (5ml), bloom (5ml) and micro (5ml), rapid start (2ml).

Pots are square 5" x5" x5"

I have also changed the time schedule of my veg tent from 18-6 to the 12-1 based on what I've read on emilya's personal grow log. Big thumbs up Em, great job , appreciate your well documented page.

That's actually the top of a bubble gum who was getting to tall. She rooted just like the rest and I expect her to be humming along anytime now.

The way I understand it, clones have to survive on what they have stored until they develop a new root system. Normally when I take smaller I won't feed the mother for at least 2 weeks to help deplete the nitrogen levels responsible for veg growth. I will also cut the fan leaves in half( cut half of each leaf blade away) so the cuttings concentrate on building a new root ball.

With bigger cuttings I still won't feed but I'll leave the fan leaves intact so the plant can access the extra carbohydrates stores.

Seems to keep the stress down and I don't get near as much yellowing.

Thanks for the comments, but I am not done with that experiment yet. I am about to write up some more thoughts about the gas lantern routine... be sure to catch them in the next few days. I am not sure that I would necessarily recommend the 12-1 for clones and young seedlings, or plants you want to grow quickly. 12-1 works well to keep plants in veg with the least amount of electricity, but I think it comes with a price. As Cervantes said, "Cannabis under continuous light will grow 33% faster than the same plants on an 18-6 light regime." I have noticed that they really slow down under 12-1. In my case, as I am trying to hold back aggressively vegging plants so that they dont overgrow my veg tent while waiting for the bloom tent to get done, it works very well... but it certainly is not the quickest way to grow vegging plants.

I should have clarified, the veg tent I'm speaking of is my mother tent. My clones I keep in a small tent that sits on top of my bloom tent. Clones are under 24 hour t5

So tonight I up potted 16 of these little ladies to the 5" pots im so fond of.

Then I took my last Remaining bubble gum mother and took another 40 clones. Yes, it stripped her almost clean . I'm trying to make room for the big bud seeds I just sprouted so I don't mind.

Heres a pic of the clones with the tray about 1/3 full.

Since my mother tent is now empty I took some time and cleaned it very well using a 10% bleach solution. Once I was done I transferred 32 small plants in the 5 " pots to the mother tent to veg about another month or so when my bloom tent is clear again.

Sat Jan 2 2016.

Maintenance and feeding today, the 2x3 tent is now vegging the next crop well. Today I pulled them all out watered and pruned the bottoms up taking off all the smaller branches. The tops are doing well enough after pinching them. All are looking fine.

The clones look very good and are standing tall , they seem very hardy.

Nice job, P. Looks like you have a runt in the litter. Looks like you have full tents going on.
My Cantaloupe is coming along slowly.

Still waiting on those roots to dig in. I'll be sticking her in a 5 gal pot in a couple days when I get her moved in the house.
I really should start another journal....
Got started re-vamping the house for Coco. Got the nute tanks in and parcially plumbed up and a tent set up and closet fitted with lights. Time to make the doughnuts!!

I'll get the monitor and RO system hooked up today sometime.
Getting water, drain and power up to the second floor of this century home was a BITCH!! lol

One of these days, I want to check out the hidden room thing you guys got going on over there.

Keep making green thing, P, you're doing fine without us!

:peace:Andy. :Namaste:

Note: Tell your girlfriend she has great penmanship! AAAhahahahaha

Thanks Andy , yep a cpl in the veg are about a month older than the others , I have a net hung so the small ones can play catch up. The 5 " pots can only do so much before getting root bound. That helps as well.I'd say another 4 to 6 weeks in veg before up potting and moving to bloom. Your setup is looking good . loving the gravity feed on your drums. Here is a potting bench I made in my down time to try and simplify and organize my work space.

Oh and any time you want to come over is fine , the hidden room thing is fun , compact , efficient, easy to manage but I'm building a room as we speak.
