Your plants have grown in very well, you have done a heck of a bang up job on keeping them super healthy!!! Wow you are halfway there on the auto flower, yes sir that’s impressive!

Don’t quote me on this & hopefully another 420 member can confirm or deny this tidbit but I think kelp & silica both can be used in your soil mix to help outdoor plants cope with heat. One can always make a spike in soil to add ingredients but it’s best done when added to the soil mix or added when up canning or transplanting a plant

In first photo I saw one fan leaf has been chewed by a critter. I’ve never done an outdoor grow but you can treat with products to reduce or eliminate insect attack. There is a natural occurring bacteria called BT bacillus thuringiesnis - it is a systemic deterrent (makes plant taste bad / makes pests sick) and not so much a toxic poison. It may also be wise to head over to the outdoor growers thread and read up there. Click or tap on Grow in the menu bar, click Growers Forums then Outdoor Growers

As always - do your own research independently and follow manufactures recommendations for application and safe handling guidelines on the BT.

The Durban poison auto is moving rite along and into preflower allready at day 33! This is all new to me but, very exciting so if anyone has any input or advise on anything I need to start watching or doing ? Feel free to share !

Day 37 in the garden
Plants seem to me to be doing very well ! Gsc clone has blown up, branches everywhere stalk getting thick too, and the durban poison autoflower looking good too few days into flower or preflower havent figured out all the technical terms and time periods yet but looking at the development is definitely exciting, so much so I ordered few more seeds couple days ago and got in the mail yesterday true purple haze autoflowers ! Day 38 in the garden

Picked up this heavy duty tomato cage for the girl scout cookie I'm expecting her to be rather large by the time harvest rolls around sept/Oct....

And the autoflower Durban poison is doing great still growing and in flower !

Also in trying to germinate another autoflower seed and am gona experiment and see if I can take a lower cutting from the GSC and clone it this week since still early in the season

Day 44ish in the garden ....

Where do you guys start day 1 ? From the time seed gets wet or at sprout , or when it breaks surface or leaves open ? Seen alot of different ways of counting in this journal day 1 was when it popped out the soil ...

So the GSC photo/ regular girl is doing well getting bigger every day shes in for the long haul seems to be no problems so far

The auto Durban poison is still going well thinking 2 weeks in flower allready seemed to slow the vertical growth so hopefully she just pack on the flower now but zooming in on her looking good so far I did just order a 30x loupe online for when they get close to harvest

Also did a lil experiment earlier this week took to cuttings of lower portion of the GSC for an attempt at cloning I made a lil box with 2 cfls and used some aloe from a plant have growing in the garden 1 of the 2 is still alive ,well still standing and green today not sure if it has rooted yet the other died 2 days in. Im also popping 2 more autoflower seeds "true purple haze "

Hello RatFink, I don't have a journal, but I think I would say, when she pokes her head out of the soil and see's light. Your plants look very healthy, I have one of the Jewelers Loupe's, they are a good price and get the job done, but I think if you are running a journal you should get a digital one that hooks up to your phone or laptop so you can take pictures and not have to stick your face into your flower to find out whats going on. Cheers Lots of good posts on cloning here, they have it down to an art, lots of old growers who kept mothers to keep them in buds. When you do it right, it works, high success rate is possible. More auto's is always good, I am growing an Alaskan purple seeds I got free from seedman. Cheers mate

Day 51 in the garden

The Girl scout cookie got a haircut on Wednesday, topped and trained some branches didnt seem to affect her at all going for more of a Bush with multiple tops ,

The auto durban poison is doing well 3 weeks into flower I hope it continues to blow up ! Looking and smelling awesome !

The pure haze seeds popped bit did not make it when I through them outside shriveled up in 1 day lol I'm gone out of town 12-14 hours a day at work , so was how I found them when I came home

The auto is on to flush now checking trichombs this morning and a little photo shoot can wait to try it !

GSC is still bushing and staying short which is what I want got a lil sunburn on some leaves I've slowly been pulling off

Auto durban poison,
Ok she was done and got the chop and was hung up whole in a big cardboard box drying chamber then trimmed small plant small harvest but I'm still very happy I got this far on my first grow and I still got The bushy GSC going should be flowering soon , so after the trim it went in a jar and burped daily, it's been just over a week in the cure but I wanted to try it out

The 1st smoke review

So I rolled a joint this morning, to sample my harvest with my cup of coffee, while checking on the gardenn. This is my usual routine for a day off .


Opening the jar and smelling you get a slight sweet smell mixed with something pungent kinda like a grapefruit or hops , breaking it up it's a little sticky but still breaks up nice ok joints rolled, let's smoke.

At first I thought maybe it didnt really get me high, then it slowly creeped in starting slow with a head buzz and euphoric feeling, then the flood gates open to a full sativa high , kinda speedy for a minute with tons of energy and drive and full body high, feel like wana go do something I actually started cleaning off the work bench in the garage and started to put away the pile of tools and fishing gear that has accumulated in the last couple weeks

The GSC
She was topped weeks ago but has really filled out to a bush tons of tops a full ring outside the cage and all center branching shot up filled in nice should hit flowering here soon getting excited!
