My First Grow Ever!

Kah-Boom!
Got here late but....nice!
These girls look like an ultra sexy plus size model man!:thumb:

Aaaarrrrggggggggg!!!!!

It's been ten cycles since I flipped the lights to 12/12. This morning I am rewarded with...Balls. Fecken Balls. Damn the luck. I killed #2 shortly after this picture was taken.:rip: It was a shame too, it was getting close to 30" sq. Looking at plant #1 it appears as if maybe tomorrow I will be a double murderer. <sigh> If that's the case I'll switch the lights back to 18/6 and start a couple more of my bought seeds.

my condolences

When ya gotta go.....:rip:
Ya gots ta go!

Wounded for you mate. Why not buy feminised seeds to start with ?, never understood why people dont. Am i missing something ?
Back to the drawing board then buddy.
If it makes you feel any better, think im about to lose 4 of mine to root rot :bitingnails: these things happen its how we bounce back that matters :thumb:

My condolences on your tragic loss, Rifleman. Little bastards!! :-( :( But, they were expendable. Kinda.
Kill 'em on the next batch, M8!

Yep bad luck my friend! Hell I'm still thinking the plant I've spent months training in veg to spell out BID might actually be a boy yet!!!!

As for fem versus reg beans :) the main reasons for reg beans is for breeding, crossing and back crossing etc. Simply put for growing regs out, you would normally have slightly more stable genetics to work from with regs versus fems.
Personally I don't breed and my space is limited so its a no brainer for me and fem beans! :)

Thanks for clearing that Up, makes sense now

Lights are off and timer reset back to a 18/6 schedule. Plant 3 has no white pistils left, plant 4 still has some. Neither are showing any more amber than they did a few weeks ago, just a smattering. I gave both plants a small dose of nutes. Pretty sure I started the flush too soon. I'm going to nurse them along for a while. If #3 starts showing anymore amber, or starts to look like it's in decline, then the scissors come back out. Inexperience and little patience do not a good crop make.
I'll finish cleaning my extra hydroton and buckets tomorrow, and hope to start a couple of Barney's Lemon Amnesia very soon. :cheer:

with autos mate i wouldnt pay to much attention to the colour off the trichs....the last auto i chopped a few weeks ago was 2 weeks over and showed a small amount off amber but she was ready to chop down....with autos you just got to kinda off know when they are ready for the chop as my buds were no longer growing...hope this helps a little mate

Thanks for the tip WW. I'm quick drying a little taste of #3 today. Her buds definitely aren't getting any larger, but not declining either. Experience is the best teacher. It's all good as long as it saves my capital for important stuff, like candy bars & cable tv. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Water Change Day

It's getting closer. I know I've thought and said it for weeks now. But, trust me this time. (If you're not running away by now you should be.) <snerk> Not a lot to report on this week. Both photo plants showed their balls, and ergo met the chopper. They'll make good compost for my petunias. I've got my buckets and hydroton cleaned and expect to drop a couple of Lemon Amnesia seeds this weekend. The Bubble Kush Autos are just cruising along. #3 drank 3.25 gal this week, and is so top heavy that I found her laying way over a few mornings ago. The hydroton just doesn't have enough crush factor and friction to hold her upright without some adjusting. One would expect the same problem only worse with #4 since she is so much taller, but that's not the case. She took a list to the right a while back due to her weight, but steadied herself there. #4 drank 4.25 gal this week, and still has healthy looking pistils. Holy Moly I'm crossing my fingers she continues to put on some weight. Her top bud is a good 8" tall, and as big around as a soup can. That's about it. I'll leave you with some cannaporn. Let me know what you think. Enjoy your weekend, stay safe and green my friends.
