My First Journal: OG Kush Photoperiod

I've been a truck driver and unable to enjoy cannabis for over 25 years. I've recently moved from California Bay Area to beautiful Victoria Canada and retired. Time to grow some good herbs. Weather and climate dictate and indoor grow, so I've loaded up on everything to be successful. OG Kush was an easy choice for the grow. It's a staple of cannabis if you grew up in California in the 80's. I'm just jonesing for that sweet skunk.
Grow Environment
Grow tent is located on the fist floor in a bedroom with open door to a den with a gas fireplace that will keep temps up for the grow. We live on the upper floor so there's nothing infringing on living space. The dehumidifier is running constantly due to high humidity here. I'm venting to the same room with the door open to den and gas fireplace. I have passive intake and Jerry-rigged passive intake on bottom so there are no light leaks. I like the idea of organic weed. Seems the least complicated and I may not get the highest yields or the biggest buds but I think I can get some real quality smoke.

Awesome, I grew up in CA in the 80s and I know exactly what you mean.
The hardest part for me was finding the genetics of the real kush we used to get. I’ve grown “OG kush” seeds a few times and it wasn’t what I had hoped. I was convinced it was the seed bank I used, and I’d love to grow some now under better conditions, and with reputable seeds.
Hopefully you have better luck. Looks good so far.

Lots of good people around here so don’t hesitate to ask questions!

Day 46 of Veg

I made it to this day with what looks like some healthy girls. I've put some Growth Science Growth in a few waterings but, just water, LST and a little supper cropping. Looking at them i'm thinking it's time to flip or am i just being impatient? When I do flip I'm wondering if I should go dark for 48 hours? I took a few pic so you can see tent set up and the Ladies. Any and all comments and advice welcome please.

73 day from germination
It's been about a week since I flipped. Bud sites are starting to show. I got my Mars hydro TS3000 just in time for flowers. Whats a good hight for this light. Gotter sitting about 18" from tallest part of canopy.

Looks perfect to me if that is good advice!
Thanks buddy. Appreciate the encouragement. I feel like i'm flailing at times on the grow. I'm sure I'm just over thinking it. I'm debating on a SCROG. I don't know if it's necessary. I done LST. I've done some supper cropping. I've taken off all the ties from the LST.

Looking good!:high-five:
I have a feeling you’re going to enjoy that Mars TS3000. I’ve been working with a old-school friend moving away from his 1000w HID lights. He is having really good results with them so far, still 4 weeks from his first harvest under them.
It should serve you well in there :thumb:

You know that’s right! I got a big cheesy grin :cheesygrinsmiley: reading this, I know you had one too after getting it mounted up!

77 days
It's been almost 2 weeks since the flip. Boxed up my little burple light and started using the new TS3000 on Monday and It shows with a few top stems getting red...
I did some super cropping before the flip. I don't feel I was aggressive enough, so I did a lot of defoliating today.
I also started adding Gaia Green Power Bloom as a top dressing for the flower.

Just a bit of advice... put your plants on the risers, not the trays. You don’t want them sitting in water... they need airflow underneath the pots.

:woohoo:
Thanks PK, I'm so excited on the first grow like a father expecting. I will do so many things different next grow, but hoping I haven't made to many mistakes this one. Looking for some big dense buds. Only this community would understand. Friends that don't grow could give a shit like my golf game to non golfers.. lol
