OK, I have grow room, 6' x 8' and wrapped in mylar. I have one conversion ballast with a 400w MH and 400w HPS I also have a seperate 150w HPS Since I only have one kick ass light my plan has been to put the mother under the 150wHPS 24/7 to keep her in veg, and then all flowering clones would be placed under conversion 800w. Does this sound like the best way to utilize my two lights?

Yes, but this thread should be in grow room setup forum. Do 18/6 with the 150 if power consumptions bother you. Use the 400mh for vegging out the clones and add the other 400 when its time to flower.

would only using the 150 for vegging affect growth rate or do the younger plants not need that much light?
