My Small Attic Grow

So I did a little foliage spray today with 10-15-10 nutes 1/2 strength. I see little signs of preflowers showing up but Not enough to tell for sure if they will be male or female. I think its time to invest in a decent camera and in a magnifying lens so I can get some close ups of the tiny growths at the base of the nodes. Walmart #3 shot up so I decided to tie down the top again and create more sites. there is plenty of room for them to grow sideways but not much room to shoot up.

So I got some new toys but alas they will be used for real veggies till I get the hydroponics lab set up.

The cfl is a 125 watt actual day light bulb. The high pressure sodium is 400 watt and the ballast is digital so it goes mh and hps. I also picked up a ebb and flow unit. My buddy is moving and wont be needing it so he practically gave it to me for 50 bucks. I feel as though I ripped him off so when I go visit him Ill hook him up with some tattoo's for him and his wife. It's so nice when a buddy hooks another up like that, but I will miss football in HD over at his house now. No real updates on either walmart as of yet. lights came on but no 100% signs of sex yet.

So I started a new job and today was the first day I could check on them since Sunday. Needless to say #1 stretched into the light and now is sporting some new fan leaf burn. #3 continues to grow. Both now are showing signs of sexual maturity but still no sure signs of sex. Starting to get a little frustrated so I planted two seeds of a known indica bag seed I have. I think I will keep waiting with these two a couple more weeks. Knowing myself Ill prob give them a week and if no signs just yank em and start again or transplant and move outside. I did get a few pics but still no good camera so its just what I can take with my phone.

I just don't want #3 thinkin it can grow as tall as it wants with no questions answered as to its sex. As a final note I kinda dig the new 420mag look. And happy 420 day to all my fellow stoners, and medicatees out there.

So #1 finally showed some balls so did some chopping today. Leaves #3 to still show signs one way or the other. Had a single sprout break ground today, so now ill let it get a tad bigger to determine strain dominance before I do any transplanting. I have a 9 day trip planned in july so hopefully #3 will be done before then. Either way Im not to worried by the time I get back I will have my hydro set up completed and will be doing a single grow inside it along with my veggies. As much as I am looking forward to the high of the sativa not sure if the extended wait is worth it. Then again could be the environment and not really the strains fault. Still has been an awesome learning experiment up to this point. No new pics but perhaps tomorrow Ill update an image or two. I think #3 might be showing signs of a nute deficiency so hoping to get that straightened out if it is in fact an issue and not just old growth dying.

So took a few pics of #3 but they kind of suck so on friday Ill try to get some shots in actual daylight. I topped #3 last thursday due to height issues but seems to be recovering just fine.

Side shot and all the shoots are stretching now. I think I might end up tying them to the top if it throws out hairs soon.

I tried to get a shot of fan leaves that are yellowing but like I said lighting throws off color. Maybe friday will provide better shots.

Teiji..been a while since I checked in on your grow. Wow things have changed! Keep it up and reap the benefits of all the knowledge out there on the 420. It was certainly instrumental to our grow.

So woke up this morning and when lights came on #3 was beyond droopy almost looked wilted. Wed was the last watering but the soil didn't look to dry. I watered any how with plain water and left for work. Got off early came home and as I said I took pics in real daylight.

Walmart #3 still no signs of sex but looks good.

The yellowing starts on the edges then creeps in till its all yellow but only on the older fan leaves.

all in all I am enjoying watching the growth and am looking forward to some indica dominate sprouts. I think Ill just set up a gallon drip system on the new ones while Im gone and move them into a cooler area. Its still a great experience and wit 420's help I have a journal to track the progress and mess with things a little each time. Otherwise Ill be starting on square one each time and Hydro will end up keeping me busy enough.

Thanks light-1-up still no signs as of yet as to sex but I still got fingers crossed it shoots some hairs soon and not some balls. I did move a small sprout into the room as now I have only the Walmart #3 left. I plan on keeping it on a 12/12 cycle at least until my new room or large box is built.

Also thanks hypo for the kind words I have been checking in on your grows. I haven't said much but I did enjoy the bud porn it makes my mouth water..

Just a helpful hint put your plants in a dark room for up to 48 hours before you plan to switch to 12's it seems to knock off a few days of antisipation. This I had done myself and know it works.

I know some-1 you can bytch slap for me though....j/k That was wrong but felt so right..

I know the feeling bro I can get mersh here for 20-25 bucks a 1/4, it's cheap and does the trick even though it dont taste the best. The hybrid I got taste so sweet and fruity not like mexican dirt a.k.a mersh. The funny thing is I can get mids for 30 a 1/4 but it's seedy. Does anybody in my town know how to grow decent herbs... Back in the day I could get an elbow of mersh for less than $500 now I get charge retail, because I had to grow up and be a father. Being young and dumb dont last forever, try to explain that to these young kats on the streets now-a-dayz..

Just a helpful hint put your plants in a dark room for up to 48 hours before you plan to switch to 12's it seems to knock off a few days of antisipation. This I had done myself and know it works.

Alas they had 36 hours of dark two weeks ago and it was upon the start of light after that the balls started to show more on Walmart #1. I am personally super picky about the mexo I pick up. My buddy (aka local pick up guy) is extremely picky so he wont call me unless its green and looks dank. Unfortunately it's still from mexico most likely and the cartels there don't care to much about packaging so it is generally compressed and missing crystals but it still gets me baked and high depending on the dominance of the plant. But amongst myself and my freinds we have grown some super dank from the seeds from our mersh. I just happened to get the only sativa dominate plant out of the group of us. Mostly they go indica and are finished up in around five months. I have been involved in both outside and inside grows but this is the first myself with only this wonderful site and people online to help. But yeah I never pay more then 30 a half for mersh or 35 an 1/8th of some of kali's finest. Damn when I used to do what I do, I paid 31 bucks an ounce in 2004, and that's here in outter space. By the time it got here is was like brick/cylinder but if you know how to fluff it out your all good. Don't get me wrong I've smoked smoked some mersh that will knock you on your azz don't get me wrong. I would pay $35 for some of cali's finest. I'm like thousands of miles away so I dought it will happen, but if the Transporter will hook me up we just might have a deal....lol

Alas #3 decided to show sex this weekend. Friday was the last time I was able to check on it. Sad to say threw out so many balls it made my head spin. I knew I should have bitch slapped her on friday. So Going to close out this journal with a final pic of the chopped #3. Was 12 inches long and stood a good 8 inches high. I would say close to a 12 inch diameter of bushiness. I have new sprouts started and plan on doing a pc build. I will be setting up a new journal and trying for 2 females out of 6. I plan on starting them at 14/10 for a couple weeks till I can thin out the massively fast growers and try to whittle out the sativa dominate ones. I'm shooting for more of a indica grow this time due to time constraints. Either way I learned a ton and am now way comfortable with lst and fimmin. Plus managed to work out a decent watering schedule so I won't be over watering this time.

The bunches around the top two branches are tons n tons of balls. Look how long and thin the fan leaves are so sativa dominate. Smells really piny now that it has been karate chopped n tossed.

My new pc box totally gutted I ended up with today off so It's my project for the day. I plan on using 40 actual watt 2700k bulb and 2 26 actual watt 6500k for a total of 92 actual watts. Should prove interesting if nothing else.
