I've made cannabis/coconut oil using this method a lot of times the past year and everytime it worked great! :)

Here's what I need:

  • cannabis
  • coconut oil
  • lecithin granules
  • aluminium foil
  • aluminium foil tray
  • strainer
  • bowl
  • cheesecloth
  • teaspoon
  • tablespoon
  • oven
  • oven thermometer

I use 1 ounce [US, liquid] of coconut oil for 1g of cannabis. So I will use 8.5 ounce which convert to 251ml.

I put the cannabis inside the aluminium foil tray, I add a big tea spoon of lecithin and pour the coconut oil over it.

I mixed it up then I close the tray with an aluminium foil, it must be real tight because the oil will splash!

I set the oven to 220F, and put the tray for 45 minutes (yes I know my little oven is very dirty!).

After, I remove the foil then press and mash the herb with the back of a spoon.

I add another teaspoon of lecithin, mixed it up, close the tray with a new aluminium foil and back to the oven for another 45 minutes.

Then I remove the tray and put it in the freezer for the night.

The next day I remove the aluminium foil... yummy! :)

I put it back to the oven the melt it down.

Almost there!

I use the cheesecloth over the strainer inside the bowl, then pour everything.

I lift it up and use the spoon the press all the juice!

Et voilà! The cannabis/coconut oil is ready! :)

To get really high, I use 15ml of it.
It take about an hour to feel it, after 2 hours you really feel it! But it's after 3 hours that all the goodness come to mind! :circle-of-love:

I use mold to make my cookies.
Pretty simple, 15 ml of oil, white chocolate, dark chocolate and dried coconut. :)

Hi-
Curious about lecithin. You indicated you use granules. Can you use the powdered form or is there an advantage to the granules. I recently purchased a big jar of the powder and would hate to throw it out.

It's ok! What you want is lecithin for foods, granules or powder.
There's some lecithin that sell in capsule, and that wouldn't work.

Thanks -

That is what I got was food grade Sunflower Lectin Powder. It came in a 1 pound container - enough to last a life time.

I've done lots of PGA Tincture but just about to do some coconut after my harvest has cured.
