I bought a led light from dorm grow because of the low heat output and reasonable price but since I installed it the temp of my tent has gone up to 30 degrees above room temp! I have a fan pulling air in and a passive outtake vent. I'm planning to buy an igloo cooler to build a new bubbler in hopes of keeping better control of the res but have no idea what to do about the tent temp.

I fear my first grow is doomed but I need to resolve this issue to start a second attemp.

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Reverse your fan set up - passive intake with fan extracting warm/hot air from top off the tent area with preference of ducting taking extracted air out of room completely.

Thank you guys! I switched the placement and it seems to be working. One more notch to add to my stupid mistake tally I guess.

As a Rule, you want Twice the surface area for the Passive intake.

Too small of passive intake can also increase temps.

How low can you get the Temps with the door open? Close to that should be your Goal?

Good Luck!

Another way to adjust temperatures on a passive basis is.

Night time temperatures are cooler than day time...

So have the lights come on when night time occurs or a few hours before etc this will lower temps by a few degrees.
