Need more lighting? Recommendations

I’m debating on getting two more lights. I feel like my girls are growing inward, so I’m thinking of a couple of strip style LEDs to the left and right side of the rooms.

It’s a 4x4x8 - 4x6 SCROG
These are “1500 watt”, I think 246w at the plug.

Overkill...?

Adding another light would definitely not be overkill. Your SCRoG is 24 sq ft, and should be illuminated by at least 750W from the wall. Take a look at our sponsor's offerings. Mars Hydro is running a sale now. Either their SP-250, or TSL-2000 would make an excellent addition. If you have plans for another tent anytime soon, you may wish to buy three of either of these lights, for a quantity discount as well.

There are other options, but they are usually more expensive for an equivalent quality product. I'm running the TSL-2000 for my current grow, and have been quite impressed so far. The TSL-2000 has higher surface temperatures than the SP-250. This is largely due to the SP-250 having fins, so there is more surface area to radiate the heat away. The temperatures in the tent with either of these lights will be comparable.

I need 2, but think 2 of those, plus what I have now would be a bit too much, plus my wife would kill me if I spent another $400+ on lights. Lol!

I found a 4’x14” LED 40000k for $115, so I’m leaning towards getting two of those. I really don’t need anything crazy, just filling some voids.

Thanks for the recommendation Salt.

Be careful, there's a lot of lights that are pure junk on the market.
Yeah, I’ve seen plenty of them. I’m going to try one of these hydroponic shops out here and see what I can find.

add a cmh, adds fuller spectrum to your blurples...315w will cover 4' x 4' ok
3' x 3' even better.

I’m just trying to get more light on the sides. 6’x1’ on each side.
