New Grower: Open To Any Advice

So a local light shop just got in these grow lights . The came in 4 ft and 2 ft . They say 9w though so I will be getting another one if I can but the shop was kind enough to have me test it for them as it was a new sample sent to them . I'm happy to say they look beautiful as to how great they are I don't know. If I use all lights on the purple only leaves a tint . I am monitoring tempreture now .

That plant on the back left looks droopy, have you watered them in a while? Or it may even be over watering lol there is a fine line
I think it is over watering . I turned it off for 8 hours to see. Will report what I see

She is doing better now . She is slowly rising up.

Ok I'm a bit frustrated now . I still have this damn droopy leaves . I'm not over watering the soil for sure as I gave 1 litre of water and it is damp from about an inch . The botanium I switched off for about 7 hours and it hasn't improved . Is it becoming root bound or should I say roots are peaking at the bottom. Should I let the roots grow to the water or cut it?

I wonder if it's not maybe the tempreture as it dropped to 12°c in the night period cause I forgot to close the vent . During the day it is a nice 18°c - 21°c. The ladies are not showing signs of yellowing at all . I know the soil one has been pruned as to the yellow spots I had . 1 leave has something similar so I'm watching carefully if it stops or carries on and if so I will trim.

Stems on both are nice and thick . I nute about once every 2 weeks with the instructions given . Maybe I should switch to filter water ? The ph of my tap water is 6.7- 6.9 .... guys you are all experienced in this . What the f&*% am I doing wrong Haha I'm open to constructive criticism by all means just add a solution .

The plant on the left is in a much smaller container, then the one on the right. I would say it’s time to maybe transplant that girl into a bigger pot. The one on the right may be needing a transplant as well.

Secondly, it may be over watered now. I would say let her dry out, but! I’m thinking the roots aren’t happy, and that may be the culprit here.

The ph should be ok, in soil it’s recommended for a 6.0-7.0 (6.5 to make it easy, split the difference)

Thank you very much . The one on the right was just put in that bigger pot 2 days ago . As for the hydro I do not have a bigger system to transplant to . Is there an alternative? I'm thinking cloning as I do not have a different hydro system. It is rather sad as she was the one growing the best .

Ok give the one you just transplanted at least a week or two in there (unless it’s health drastically declines). How big is that pot by the way? A one gallon? By the looks of her size she should be in about a 5 gallon bucket by now.

The one on the left, my apologies, I didn’t realize that it was a hydro setup, (I knew that pot looked odd :hmmmm:)

After you posted that last post I went back up and I can see the pebbles on the inside of the pot, I just didn’t look and read hard enough I guess lol. I know nothing about hydro so I’m going to tag @West Hippie in here to see if he can help :thumb:

Well I just want to say thank you so much for the assistance. I'm not sure in size but if it needs a bigger pot I can use a 10litre bucket I have spare. Which is roughly 2 gallons . The pot I'm using I'd say is a bout 5 litres like 1 gallon . Its 4 am now Haha. So in about 2 hours I will go check on them and see what they are doing .

You can look what mars hydro has in the link under my posts for the sponsors to see what they have, Or you can also buy a 3 pack of 5 gallon cloth smart pots off amazon for like $25cdn. They're worth the money as it lets the roots breath and pushes the roots away from the outer edge keeping it less prone to get root bound. They also come in 3 gal as well.

Ok so this is how it looks in the morning . One on the right is looking better . Left has not recieved water for 8 hours .

Ok so after a lot of research I think it is to do with the tempreture . I read that anything below 15°c will stop the plant from growing and absorbing water as fast . So the over watering seems to happens cause the plant is just not absorbing water fast enough due to the cold . I have just added another 70w incandescent bulb for heat . Will report what I find .

Correction it is halogen ... bad boy pumps heat for such a thing . Now I have too high temps ... it's cool though I have opened the vents up now and am measuring again . So far 25 °c so I think a bit on the danger side . Will be raising them a bit or maybe redirect the wind .

Ok thanks I'm going to monitor . You are really super helpful and I'm super grateful

Ok so I'm going to say it was definitely the tempreture and the amount of airflow . Girls are looking wonderful !!! Full of life again or atleast starting to show it . Unfortunately the picture of the one in soil doesn't want to upload so I will take one again in the morning

So here is the girls ...they look much better now . Temps in the morning hours are very low outside and dropped it inside the box to 15°c so I'm thinking at night I'll use both incandescent lights and during the day just the one . I have also started a clone from the hydro plant incase she doesn't make it .
