Hiya marathonOG,
Me personally would leave the vermiculite out of the mix, it can hold moisture and may be counter productive regarding drainage.
A good mix is : soil 70% , perlite 30%

I agree about leaving out the vermiculite. I've never actually used it but I bought a bag once.. Took a look and it seemed to be the opposite of what I wanted so it's still on my shelf 3 or 4 yrs later.
I used it once while doing hempy, 90% perlite, 10% vermiculite, I thought it would wick up some moisture, it still held to much moisture for my needs so I used straight perlite.
It would be good in a very arid environment like a desert.

Awesome thanks guys I appreciate it.

Going to go with a 70% soil 30 % perlite

In regards to the % in the mix how do you measure those? Like the 30 % perlite
