SEED DROP
Started in 12hr seed soak using RO Water with
(1/16 tbs per Gal)
Powder Kelp
JULY 12TH/13th @ 12:00 AM (July New Moon)

PLANTED
JULY 13TH @ 12:00 PM (Noon)
In 1st run Cooked DBHB Soil with 1/2 to 1 inch
straight Pro-Mix on top, Entire pot Dunked in RO H2O

SIDE NOTE:
I tried my best to position the seeds with pointed end up.
This is the preferred position to help the seed start and
find its way to the surface the easiest.

Both up morning of JULY 16th (72 hrs.)
The GDP Actually came up the day before but had the
Husk still on Seedling, She was stretching to much
so I had to help remove the Husk.

I think NEXT TIME I need to plant lower, don't think she
had enough travel space in soil to remove the husk ?

(only planted approx 1/2 inch deep)

Last since its going to be slow for a while until the seedlings
get going I will just include random thoughts and pictures until

then. Please feel free to comment and add your own pictures anytime.

Welcome aboard guys

Going to be slow for the week or so, seedling stage.

Until then I will try and keep things going with some detailed information about my set-up.
I will start with my Electrical usage

Without going into my notes for exact numbers it running me
approximately 75 month (averaged between Veg and Flower total run costs).
California is expensive 0.16 KWH and thats with discount

Total COST with Lights, Fans, humidifiers (all electrical items) + Soil, KIT, Seed, WATER
100.00 MONTH, been averaging 3.5 oz per plant (dried & cured)
Running from Seed and including Dry & Cure its a 6 month process
100 month for 6 months = 600 ---- DIVIDED by ----- 7oz = 85.71 an OZ my TOTAL cost

SIDE NOTE this is in a small 2 x 4 tent running only 2 plants I could easily add a 3rd
and maybe even a 4th for a very minimal cost increase so I could almost cut this cost
in half by increasing the number of plants

The MOST EXPENSIVE part is the ELECTRICITY I really need to look into SOLAR and
Rain Water collection

PICTURES Later tonight of the way I have the electricity set-up
2 dedicated outlets each pulling 450w max.

TIP
BOTH incoming electrical outlets are set up with WIRELESS Remote On/Off
this stops the power restart in the event of a power interruption.

in the past it has gone on and off multiple times as they reset it.
this addition makes it impossible to auto re-start , once power is cleared you have to
press each remote RF button to turn back on. DONT NEED MY HID restarting
over and over in short time frame.

Not a lot Going on but did get some photo documentation done :)

As you will notice in the next few post, if you read along, I was a bit bored this afternoon :)

Here are the Little pecker woods at 72hrs up (GDP Was up 24 hrs earlier but had
the HUSK still on so nothing happened except she keep stretchering, I removed the
Husk the next day when I noticed the GUAWI was up

It may not be clear how I am running the SUN-RISE / SUN-SET lighting so figured I would add
some pictures to help.

BTW I was never intentionally wanting to do this but realized I had all the pieces
nearly in place so what the hay, why not

There are 2 BANKS of T5s, One set of 4 on each side (1 single 2ft t5 UVA/B in back as well)
Originally I had 4 four foot T5s attached to each tent post. Noticed I was
wasting a lot of Light and decided to split them in half at 2ft each. Seemed
like a good idea since the best light is at the center of each t5 tube and now
I have 2 centers instead of 1 (only 1 center when using a 4 ft tube)

This also gives me more control of were the light is placed.

LEFT SIDE T5 & FAR-RED POSITION

METER
POWER OUTLET READINGS

Here I use 2 POWER OUTLET METERS attached to each DEDICATED Wall Out-Let
I can monitor the EXACT Pull on each

TIP
With this set-up I can NOW adjust my Inlet & Outlet fans much more precisely then I could
previously do when just
using the Dial on the speed controller

NOW I can watch the WATTs readout on the METER and adjust as close as 1 Watt

TiP UPDATE
Thinking the Use of the Remote RF Switch as a
stop against Repeated Re-Starts after power loss
(Have had power go On and Off multiple times after power failure)
MAY NOT BE a Good Idea
We dont have Electrical Storms Here and I have not had an issue

over a few years but THINKING it could be affected by Mother Nature
or even a Neighbor on the same Frequency

Interesting

I started using my Humidifiers once the seedlings broke ground (16 July)
Needed 3 small Humidifiers to keep in preferred range

my readings
58 to 65 RH & TEMP 79 to 82 DAY
55 to 57 RH &
TEMP 76 to 77 NIGHT

Anyway the point to the POST I refilled my 20 gal reserve the day
the girls came up and today 4 Days Later I am out of RO Water

20 gals in 4 days ALL into the humidifiers =

5 GALS H2O a day just to keep RH in check
My cost is .233 a gal so 1.165 a day

(oh i only use clear h2o or I get the white power issue)
Something needs to be done :)

EDIT: Damn that does not take into account the Elec to run the humidifiers

EDIT EDIT:
I did notice earlier this week the humidity at the bottom of the tent is high
and I did move the humidifiers up a little, which helped so Now thinking
maybe a little higher and I can turn them down some.

Only Issue is the higher the humidifiers get the more wet mist gets into the
Electrical items like Lights, Fans, Carbon filter ....

How bout a small fan at the bottom of your tent to help circulate that humid air around a bit more? It might help stabilize an even humidity level throughout your tent... This way no worry of getting them too high and causing problems with he electrical stuff...

Yup have 2 pointed at them now and as a mater of fact I just came up from checking that
did notice the small 6" fan on the right side seemed to be running slower than the other one ?
and did not seem to be pushing much air.

I could lower the plants but would have to lower all the lights as well. its easier to just leave my
lights in place (at top) and lower the plants as they grow. This I am sure is the MAJOR reason I
I am having RH ISSUES. suspect the wet air falls faster so having the plants so high up its not working
as I would like.

EDIT on the other hand I have a perfect environment for clones at the bottom of the tent :)

Love My POWER METER read-outs

Was just sitting at the kitchen table, have one set to read out the power used
down stairs in my tent and noticed it was 20 or so Watts more than it should be at
lights out OH YEH I turned up the inlet air to try and move more air
That is pretty damn awesome, I love how detailed you are... hence why I love to follow your grows.

So since I was in need of a new 6" fan to replace the one not working very well
I went on line looking for a cheap replacement found Target had a 6" Holmes AC Clip fan
for 9.99 but 10% if STORE PICK-UP (9,82 with Tax)

OK Target is 1.5 blocks away (1 stop sign, 3 speed bumps)
started process at 3:20 paid here on line. Received email it
was ready to be picked up at 3:37
left house got to store and they have a "STORE PICK-UP" Window
No Line, gave bar code to girl 3 seconds later its in my hand and on
my way home. Looked at time and it was 4:05

Sweet
Did not have to search store for item
did not have to wait in line to pay
No Paper work at counter just I hand them paper they hand me item
BTW I notice the pick-up items in the back are already even bagged :)
Oh and the receipt was sent by email before I got home

Need New 6" fan 40 minutes later in same spot with fan in hand

Awesome Gazoo! I hope it helps! Where the heck you living, the desert? I haven't used my huey in weeks, I've actually had to hook my intake fans to the top of my dehuey and rh is now in check.

California Bay Area, Between Oakland and Jan Jose
I am sure its mostly due to the position of my plants being so high up
in the tent, Humidity is having a very hard time reaching that high.

Mother Natures Job is a BITCH

EDIT: Side Note

Thinking maybe I should buy a second one ? Import tariffs may increase the cost soon,
they only had 4 in stock.

Has US Company address plastered all over the box but very fine print "made in china"

Is the rh low outside? My tents, 4x4's are seriously affected by ambient room rh. When it is low, my lil Huey kicks some ass and is never on at lights out. Not trying to rub it in, just wondering what's up with the Huey's you have.
