New to growing, any tips

Hey I recently started growing a couple plants just to see if they would actually grow and to my surprise doing well! I know there are certain fertilizers you should and shouldn’t use as well as soils that work better than others. They are currently in a one gallon pot and as you can see from pic, one looks great the other is a little behind so I’m gonna separate them but I am looking for suggestions for soil, fertilizer, pot size, anything that would help them along the way! That's cool I'm in Florida/Englewood this week actually, spent the day on the beach and afternoon at the White Elephant Pub! Be an early night for me. Doing a few spring training games the next few days...

Being in the states you'll have all the usual options available to you. Check out a local grow/hydro store and see if you can pick up some fox farms ocean forest. I like fabric pots. That one there looks ceramic? How's the drainage?

Welcome, I don't know enough to make any suggestions except #1 keep asking these smart people questions, #2 don't over think it, and #3 be patient! I am good at #1, rotten at the next two but it's still got me way ahead of going it on my own!

What I do know is that purple pot looks awesome and I love the flowery flip flops in the background! That's a fun pic that made me giggle you win Pbass's awesomest pic of the day!

The pot I’m using was just a temporary pot for it, I ordered some 7 gallon fabric containers, they should be here soon! And I got some fox farm Ocean Forest Soil too!! I did order the fox farm liquid nutrient trio for them also, every thing I’ve read highly recommend them so hopefully I’m on the right path!
