Newbie grower needing help with sexing

Hi everyone, I'm new to growing cannabis and I've done a lot of research on growing. I haven't smoked before so I'm also a newbie to that.

I'm going to start growing outdoors in a few months and I don't know if I should remove the whole entire male plant out the ground or just cut the branches off the stalk?

I'd appreciate any and all help, thanks
